Hi TER Members, I am a New York magazine writer doing a story on escorts and the upcoming RNC in New York.  I am looking to talk to agencies who would verify that there are lots more girls coming in that week, or girls who can attest that lots more independents will be in NYC that week.  I don't have to use any names or names of agencies, I just need some people willing to give facts.  I can be reached at [email protected].  Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

A few weeks ago some agency owners took it upon themselves to tell a daily news reporter that they were gonna make so much money during the New York Convention, that they were importing and doubling their staff to meet the "demand". Word has it that vice operations are in full swing. And much more intensely than the norm.

Please don't put your fellow providers in jeopardy!

Ms. Sohn if you want to do a memorable story wait till after the convention, and write about republicans and their favorite fetishes. Just a thought.

The Boston Herald published a similar piece last week regarding the DNC. One small time agency was heavily quoted. Those who knew better stayed away.

aside from the 4th and 5th I'm steering clear of NYC for he entire month of August, anyone know the dates for the conventions?

I guess I did my schedule good this month to avoid most of the nyc bs, grid lock stuff. I dont know if i could even live in NYC, after a week I'm yearning for the quiet of my Brooklyn home (I live on a marina so I dont get the general brooklyn traffic thank goodness!)

Anyway, there are all types of agencies.  And they're in the phone book, too.  She doesn't need our help to run down a story on agencies.  Besides, what do any of us know about agencies?

However if you are looking for a hooker story you should interview bill clinton, and if you can get the truth out of him you would be the first to get him to tell the truth and would get many, many, many hooker stories.

when I read your articles I often wonder... who are these people she is writing about ? Are there THAT many unfulfilled neurotics wandering around ? Where DO they get their stange ideas about the man-woman thing ? Hint to you, sweetness: once you discover liberation from the sex-as-a-lever manipulations of conventional, socially accepted interaction, the refreshing honesty of naming your price up front, as well as some of the surprisingly honest and genuinely rewarding connections you can form, should your soul be up to the exertion of seeing past the Fallen Woman programming, or the Pathetic John trope, you really can't go back to the dutiful good guy at the grindstone routine. It's like travel to distant lands where the rules are different and people know one another differently. Sure, you can come back to the old mousewheel, clink the ice in your glass of single malt scotch and chat about the effect of China on the strategic metals markets or Democrat hair versus Republican hair or the long term implication of open source software, but you've changed internally, you know you can split, walk off the grid for an hour, a day, or budget permitting, a week... the game is a game and you see it as a game... and that's a degree of freedom that might not have existed before in the life of some men, many more than your upright readership would ever suspect...
  Heck, some of the women I've met and paid by the hour have grown into true friends who proved to be as honest and decent as anyone I've known in the straight world, people who have confronted me with my limitations and forced me to grow intellectually and emotionally. Journalist?....I have looked at her site and she has a few books out. novels=fiction. and i will admit I did not read everything she has writen however scanning much of it... FICTION.

The New Yorker so she writes for the NewYorker fact or fiction most likely much more of the latter. Therefore, writter/author yes, journalist I think NOT.

I'll bet the providers do a lot better at the RNC convention than the DNC event. Look at the difference in the average delegate R (rich- or comfortable male away from home looking to have fun ok a few christian conservatives but they're in bed by 10, alone usually) versus D (elderly/ or female delegate looking to hold hands, bitch about anyone but Bush, applaude reverend Al, maybe a few verses of coom by ya - 5 for SP)
