Rarely do I seek services and haven't seen a provider in a long time. However, recently I've seen a couple of women in NYC after reading glowing reviews but both women were not what I expected. I re-read the reviews to see if I missed anything. They were very sweet and charming but not at all 8's and 9's that they were rated.

Of what you can expect if you meet with the lady.  If you read the narratives, you'll get the details you need to know.  The more excellent reviews they have, the better for you in making an informed decision.   In my experience, great reviews have generally yielded great results.

The first time I played with a 9/10 lady I was floored.   My date and I were like, WHAT?  That's not to say there aren't amazing playmates out there!  And I had better luck finding them when I started to check the reviewers - not just the reviews - when shopping around.

If you're looking for someone good, I don't know what your problem is without knowing more.

It could be because you're unknown.

It could be because you don't screen well.

It could be because your expectations are unrealistic.

Sure - there is grade inflation.  The TER rating is 1-10 and the distribution is heavily in the right end of the curve.  But, with experience you will get better at finding better matches through the system.

Generally rules:
1. you generally get what you pay for.  Don't bring caviar tastes with tuna fish budget.
2. I find you learn a lot more by reading the worst reviews than the best.
3. Look at other reviews by same hobbyist and you can benchmark their scores.  Do they give everyone 10s?  Maybe you have seen someone that they have seen - if you gave them 7s and they give them 9s, you can adjust their scores accordingly.
4. Get better at reading between the lines - I think most guys know this is very public and important for the girls and hesitate to really ding them on their scores, given that just one really negative review could significantly impact their livelihood.  But, usually the careful reader will see word choices that flag issues.  With time, you will get better at reading these.
5. I always back-channel with recent reviewers.  Most guys will be more honest and provide details they wouldn't otherwise in PM.

The answer is to get to know some of the better reviewers , pm them and ask questions , follow their reviews and your problems will be solved ...also find guys with the same taste as you ....its that simple !  

Thank you all for the thoughtful replies. I respect the people in the business and respect the work that they do. So I would never write a bad review nor would I even post a review. With that said, I'm now skeptical with the system since my ratings would have put them in the mid-range of the rating scale and the comments tempered. I agree that (1) reviews are subjective and (2) you get what you paid for.  

I was definitively not shopping at Sears and even taking subjectivity as a bias, it's a stretch.  

Again the people I've met were nice and they deserve the respect so from that perspective, they are thoughtful and accommodating individuals. From an actual performance and appearance, not so much.
