I prefer lipstain on dates, though--it doesn't leave a noticeable mark on a man's skin, and of if it rubs off due to...excessive friction...it's not splotchy.

It does stain so I stick with pinks and nudes

I just like a more natural look and red looks SO unnatural to me

...I have an affinity for pink and nude-ish colors (sometimes coral/peachy ones).
Even though I have a pretty big lipstick collection I have just 2 red lipsticks...'Lady Danger' by MAC and 'Tijuana' by Kat Von D. I've never had a lipstick (even ones known to stain like hell) that didn't come off with soap and water lol.

I use the smudge proof ones with lipgloss .

I hate it when I walk into a girls incall and see that she is wearing a lot of lipstick.  It's just one more risk factor that it will get on my clothes, or not wash off easily, and be something that increases my risk of getting caught.

You mentioned "mess free" lipstick, but I've seen too many people with lipstick that ended up taking a long time to wash out to trust such a thing.  

If we are going out on a public date, I want you to wear whatever you like.  Whatever feels right to you.  But if we are meeting only for private time, then I much prefer no lipstick, or perfume.
