I'm new to the "hobby" and trying to figure out the most efficient, safe and effective way to find providers. The ads section here on TER is pretty bare-bones, and BP is a crapshoot. Do a lot of people use EROS? Any advice would be appreciated!
P411 is great since they screen everyone really well. It's basically fool proof I think.

The ad section for NYC on ter is bare bones?Seems to be many ads posted daily here. There are reputable providers on eros and then there are a lot of fakes as well that advertise there. Many providers that have reviews here advertise on eros. It is not the site the provider advertises on it is how much research you do on that provider. You can find a provider on bp,eros,ter,etc but you have to look and see if she has reviews is she reputable.Google her info to see if she has reviews on any site and a web presence. You can also think about looking into joining Date-Check or P411 both are verification sites.
Being new to the hobby I would suggest you go to the newbie board here on ter and click on the self-help center on the newbie board. There is a lot of helpful info on the self-help center to a newbie the self-help center is located right below the life raft icon. Good luck to you!

Jaydalee I agree with you the key word is RESEARCH about the provider. You could run for website to another or pay memberships but it wont guarantee perfection. Remember escorts are human beings who get susceptible to many things. It is better to take longer to get a date than rush and be disappointed. Read the ad, internet research the provider for reviews etc. If it is one who aint reviewed there are specific questions to ask upfront before you take the risk. Finding out as much information about a provider is the most important tool...
....Eros, is where almost 100% percent of my gentlemen find me. Next would be P411. Every once in a blue moon, I am contacted for a date through Date-Check, or regioanl ad boards.

It is. The ad board is very 90s web. It's multiple lines of text links without any preview as to what may be contained in them. You click said link, read the ad, then click the back button to move on to the next ad, and repeat. Unless of course you want to view the provider's details...in that case you click ANOTHER link to go to her profile...then the back button TWICE before going to the next ad. It's either this, or you have 5 million tabs open after viewing 3 providers.
I mean, I know the two girls above don't have to search ads for ass to buy on a regular basis, but surely they can't think having to a do a separate post for every photo is cutting edge shit.
Forget ads - some of us do not even need or use them . Read reviews then look at pics . You see it doesn't matter what she says about herself it matters what the guys think of her . Then if you find a review that is rocking look and see if you are attracted to her . You guys work things ass backward sometimes . Miss K

Forget ads - some of us do not even need or use them . Read reviews then look at pics . You see it doesn't matter what she says about herself it matters what the guys think of her . Combination of using TER as a resource, checking out the lady's profile on preferred411, seeing if she's advertising on Erosguide, checking out her website to see if she put the effort into putting together a nice website, communication via email and phone.... If it all adds up, with all those resources pulled together, you should be able to make an informed decision.

I'm not sure bare bones is a synonym for old technology. To me it means limited information, skimpy, lacking in detail. If, as you point out, a provider's details are a mere click away, then it can hardly be described as bare bones.
As a middle-aged man, I don't find having to click around a few times on a website to be that difficult or unexpected or time-consuming an operation. Clearly zorrf is a younger man's name and has a younger man's impatience. I'd also point out the TER ad board are but one feature of TER, which is about as comprehensive a compendium of providers as you could realistically hope to find. To me the irony of someone leaving a post on TER about where to find a good listing of providers is remarkable. It's rather like walking up to the information desk at the NY Public Library on 5th Avenue and asking the person behind the counter if they can recommend a good place to find a lot of books.
