If I ask your rates & don't reply once you send them, you don't need to email me two years later to say you're retiring & pimp your friend.

I understand recommending a friend to your clients, especially if you are retiring (or more likely moving on to management) but I am not your client.  We never met.  I asked you one question two years ago, and didn't like the answer.

And, she didn't even mention the friends rate, which is why I had to email her in the first place.  Not mentioning the rate in the ad.

I'm almost tempted to write back and say "Thanks for the recommendation.  I'd love to see your friend for $50/hour.  I'll tell her you recommended me."
