It is "Upscale" to distinguish it from Trash-Con aka The Red Door and similar type events that are still out there. Nothing wrong with them afaic but the hostess of this event is aiming higher and is personally interviewing all the ladies involved. To get a good mix and to exclude anyone who is too "trashy".

Contrary to what this ignorant, hyperbolic asshole has posted, everyone remotely familiar with me and my parties KNOWS that they are done on a non-profit basis. What the Hostess of THIS event is doing in that regard is her business. I don't know and I don't care. If she makes a profit - good for her. If it's a good party and she makes money it will probably encourage her to do more. What's wrong with that ? Other hosts and hostesses show a profit. So what ? Who cares ? Why shouldn't they be rewarded for their hard work ?
