I received a PM from a provider I saw about someone trying to contact her.  I saw her a few months ago and she was fantastic so i wrote a review.  She is in her 30's but you would never tell as she is in great shape.  Well in her previous life she was not famous but a recognizable person...She was an athlete.  Well some guy is sending pm's to the guys that posted reviews on her with her actual real life pictures(that i guess he got off the internet) and asking if it is really her.  She is worried about her real information getting out there.  I know I like me privacy and so does she.  Why would a fool do this and try to "out" her for no reason.  Another provider I saw was an actual model in magazines before her providing days.  Some guy also PM's me with downloaded pics from her modeling days asking if these pictures are really her since her face is blurred on her website.  Look, I google image the girls I want to see just to see if they are real but why go to the next step if you find something out to ask all around about her private life if you know she does not want it out in public.  Just makes everyone annoyed...Just IMHO......

If all the providers started talking about them.

I saw a girl on BP recently for a bodyrub, and her ad linked to her real pics on her modeling website via Google Images.  I called her and told her immediately that her pics linked to her site, and she took them down.

You have to ALWAYS respect privacy.  Even for my worst enemies, I would never wish that upon them.  That is just plain uncool.

Yea, and I have no problem with google image as I want to know if the girl is real or not.  But once you know for sure why go further.  This one guy about a year ago was sending me youtube links of the girl in modeling videos and asking about her.  Then went on another site to tell everyone Ms.XXX is hosting in XXX town for X price.  Why do that???

In these cases women are viewed as objects of entertainment. They cannot relate to us as real people.

There is also a sense of power in being able to out a lady and disrupt her life. They think we're low on the food chain and deserve it anyway.

There are fundamentally bad people in the world, and they get a kick out of causing harm.

I was in a similar situation, where I inadvertently stumbled upon a provider's personal information and photos while doing some research.  I wasn't sure if I should tell the provider or not - I didn't know her well (I was a new client), so I wasn't sure if she would be spooked by my news, or if she would appreciate it.  Is there a proper protocol here?  I don't want anyone thinking I'm intruding on their privacy, but on the other hand, I would think that most people would want to know. I have not revealed any of this information at all to anyone.  

Surprisingly, I have had some providers, particularly high end ones, volunteer their personal information to me, which I thought was odd.  I guess they trusted me, which is nice, but I thought it was pretty risky.  I guess it's up to their discretion, and I find it a bit flattering and dodgy all at the same time.

I have also been in the awkward situation where a provider talks about her other clients while we're eating dinner or having drinks in public.  I'd hate to think she's talking about me to her other clients. No names were ever mentioned, but still, it was just really uncomfortable.

When checking their references. He will in turn be outed for his BS behavior and have a very difficult time in the future booking with a solid, legitimate provider. In addition she should go on the providers only sites and post about him. What a loser.

suggested others go check her out in person before booking her. The post was up for a day before being pulled. This is one reason I miss the mods. It's impossible for us to police every post and there are some indiscreet posters here.

I know of another situation. Someone backchanneled the restaurant a provider worked at. She started getting stalked and one guy even high speed chased her to try to follow her home. And you wonder why some ladies have to go UTR or change their names. It's not that they have real life drama, it's drama from some of the men here.

My advice: tell your friend to go UTR before it's too late and her info is outed online or reinvent herself with a new name. Eventually she will be forgotten under the old name and those trying to out her will soon forget her...out of sight...out of mind.

Some people are assholes. we take risks in this business. For those that have regular jobs or have done something notable, there will always be people out there that want to burn you. It's sad I know, but this is the world we live in. That is why tabloids and celebrity magazines exist.

If we don't put it in our site and in our ads, it shouldn't be discussed. Just think of a seemingly innocuous detail about yourself - or a group of details - like that you play golf, have a boat, and hate chocolate - so harmless and unidentifying in themselves, yet so very telling to a friend, family member, or SO, who might happen upon those words. Men should be more careful about the details they share through reviews and via PM.

Sometimes I just cannot believe that those little things I felt safe telling a nice client - for example, that I am from XXX area and that I am a XXX enthusiast - made it into my reviews. I can't believe sometimes how much new clients already know about me from PM's.

THINK before you click submit, "How would I feel if this were shared about me on TER? Is this tiny fact really necessary to publicize?" Also, what you share through PM's - treat it as if it were published on the boards, because it seems to become public knowledge.

The men who do this would go NUTS if I wrote on the boards, for example: "Well, this one client who is really high up in Goldman and has a house in Greenwich Conn. invited me to go on his Catalina sailboat." (Disclaimer: completely fake).
