WARNING ! --- The email virus going around says.................

"New Graphic Site" and originates from a Yahoo email address. DELETE it without opening it even if it came from a known friend !!!!!  It will spam your computer, and attach a worm--ultimately slowing down your computer etc.

I actually received one last night from Von Ryan's email account (HE DID NOT SEND IT)!!!  It was AUTOMATICALLY sent by the virus WITHOUT his knowledge. This is what happened to Ashley Taylor as well. I came very close to opening it because VR is a friend. (I reiterate, he's a victim too, NOT the culprit)!

Hope this saves a computer or 2.

My Meet and Greet board members are getting some of it, I am getting it in three different accounts.

I'd rather have it in three different holes, ;)

Just don't open it.

It's most likely not his computer that is infected.  Most viruses use "from e-mail addresses"
that they find in the true victims address book, web cache and in this case mailbox.  So while someone is infected, it is most likely not Von Ryan.

our friend VR's computer is infected, or that he has ANYTHING to do with this. Merely that my PC received an email with the virus from his. His PC probably isn't infected either. (He probably didn't open the spam sent to his PC either)!

That's the problem with this virus, it AUTOMATICALLY sends infected Spam to others without the PC owner's knowledge. The recipient, then says to himself "oh here's an email from my friend so and so", and opens it.

Again, the virus sends an email with attachment from people we KNOW saying "New Graphic Site".!!!

Our TER brethren, by our very nature, LOVE graphic shit (the more graphic the better), and are very likely to open such an email.  lol

I now know of a dozen plus TER members that have received the email containing the virus. If it's NOT opened, you have NOTHING to fear! Again, it usually comes from a Yahoo account, and has NOTHING to do (in any way, shape, or form), with ANY TER members!!!

I post this in an attempt to save  fellow TER members from a myriad of headaches.

I suggest you see DrFollowmeMD he will give you an injection, it is done very quick and do not be afraid it is a SMALL needle, a second is available  but it does take a while to reload the syringe.

Thank You

This is a worm called JS.Yamanner@m, written in _JavaScript. It
exploits a vulnerability in the Yahoo email service to send a copy of
itself to the user's Yahoo email contacts. JS.Yamanner@m performs the
following actions:

1. Arrives on the compromised computer as an HTML email containing
_Javascript. The email may have the following characteristics:

From: Varies
Subject: New Graphic Site
Message body: Note: forwarded message attached.

2. Once the email is opened the worm exploits a vulnerability in
the Yahoo email service to run a script.

3. Sends a copy of itself to certain email addresses gathered from
the Yahoo email folders.

4. Targets email addresses from the @yahoo.com and?
@yahoogroups.com domains.

5. Contacts the following URL: [http://]www.av3.net/index.htm

6. Sends a list of email addresses gathered to the above URL.

According to Symantec, removal is easy. Update your virus definitions.
They say the harm level is low, but it's been a pain in the arse.

Don't open any attatchments and if it's a forwarded email, don't even
open the email itself, just delete it automatically.
