Does anyone know of a safe, confidential photo processing place... (PM only please)

... I have some stills saved on my computer that I'd like some hard (no pun intended, but it is there) copies of, printed.

I do not have a printer at the moment (every inch of space is valuable in my tiny studio, again, no pun intended) and would not like these appearing splashed over the internet (but an art gallery might, might be okay...)

Please PM me if you know of a trustworthy place.

Kindly do not post here, and I thank you in advance!

I still think perhaps I should invest in a new printer just for this purpose, in which case any recommendations for the best photo printer (I have an iBook G4, running Mac OSX Tiger.  I cannot let go of my antiques) would be welcome.  In this case, smaller is better for me.

Stay dry and warm!

Many thanks for the PMs, emails and wonderful suggestions.  I'll be replying to you in person probably over the weekend.

The gent, my partner in crime, has them on his iPhone.  He is highly amused I want hard (snicker) copies of them.

"I can carry these around and enjoy them wherever I go!"

"Ah, but I wouldn't have to turn something on and touch it to see them!"  We both snicker, and I think he may have gotten my sentiment.

Doesn't a real photo on photo paper mean anything to anyone anymore...?  I like to prop up a nice picture next to my alarm clock to smile at in the morning....

Thank you everyone, and have a great weekend.

Kiss,

Just occurred to me... this is why people carried a teeny special pic in a locket, or had one in their wallet!

(Man, I just realised how old-fashioned and sentimental I must sound...!)

Again, thank you everyone.  Have a great weekend, and do some hard copies, maybe, hm?  (I swear I'm not in cahoots with photo paper manufacturers.)

I think you are on the right track. There is getting to be less and less texture in life. The sensual world is slowly disappearing into electric impulses, mechanical motion is turning into pipelines of electrodes, it might be all for the better eventually, however, there is nothing like feeling everything, using all our senses and enjoying the physicality of this world.
