the drugs made her a train wreck.  I'm sorry she's gone but I find it hard to have sympathy for people who simply destroy themselves.

Didn't some of us behave like fools when we were young and then finally get a clue about life? She will never have the chance now to get that clue, and improve herself, because now she is dead.

People destroying themselves often comes as a result of adversity beyond their control.

The liberal music industry praised her, awarded her 5 Grammys for a music story about "Rehab" and they all thought it was great.  She did the damage to herself and this is the consequences of drug abuse.  Poor audience members who wasted money to see this trash junkie.  She was a no talent that was awarded praise because she was a junkie.

Hendrix, Joplin, Cobain, & Morrison all produced substantial volumes of creative work before their untimely deaths. Wienhouse, had a few monster hits and it's true her voice was larger than life, but she should have cherished that gift. This is something that Whiteny Houston has been wrestling with for years. And her voice has suffered because of her excessive partying.

Fame is a fucked up thing. There's no manual handed to you when you become famous and the entertainment industry doesn't really give a shit about the individuals. Chew em up and spit em out. Where's the next one we can build up and watch em fall down. That's the real tragedy here. Too bad all the industry people around her couldn't help save her life.

Don't blame the music industry for what happened.  Amy was responsbile for Amy.

You have no concept of what goes into making a record and have zero ear for ability. She might have been a junk riddled mess but she certainly had a unique voice and wrote quite the strong r&b record. Wtf does liberal/ conservative have to do with it? As one who's been in the business for many years and a personal witness to a number of these tragedies, consider this: Not an excuse but fact. There is a reason why some people go into the arts. They are a different breed than a lawyer, shoe salesman, welder or administrator. Artists are cut from a different cloth. They march to a different drummer. A real artist, who sticks to his/her guns, lives a life that can be a cold and lonely road. Drugs, drink, etc. are hazards of the artist's work place--studio, road, etc.--where one is not surrounded by office workers, family or necessarily real friends but often sycophants and worse. It has been this way since time immemorial and will continue to be so.

What do politics have to do with this exactly?

Jesus, some people used to see commies under the bed.  How the hell do you know the political leanings of the people around her?  Are you clairvoyant, or do you monitor their thoughts through the fillings in your teeth?

The more you engage them, the more they'll stick around.

The point being about liberals pacifying and coddling the junkies of the world.  If the media, liberal media, liberal music industry did not give her awards, no matter what the atlent, because she is a poor reflection of society, the industry etc maybe she would have cleaned up her act to achieve those rewards and awards.

But as long as societies liberals tolerate this level of conduct there will be more death that no one should feel sorry for.
