It has been said before that the job of a stripper is to milk as much money out of somebody for as long as possible. If it is sex that you are looking for, stripe club is not the right place. IMO

As for the situation at hand, I don't think it's odd. Some of them will legitimately not go any further than doing a HJ. And if they do they almost always expect a lot more than most escorts will ask for.

I used to visit the clubs, such as Flashdancers and others.  But NOTHING was better than The Harmony clubs!  Sic transit gloria mundi.

Whether you had a good time is more important than a simple calculation, but here goes a calculation:  

How much were the drinks?  2x$10 = $20 + tip?

How many pre-VIP lap dances? 2? 3? = $40-$60.

1 song is around 3-4 minutes (unless the DJ was playing Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, American Pie, ... in which case the dancers will have killed him by now)  

3 songs = around 10 minutes

$60/10 minutes for one clothed HJ + some touchy-feely + no cleanup + risk of being bounced hard + ???

You can use TER to find a reliable massage parlor where you'll get a more relaxed fully private 30 or 60 minutes and, at least, a happy ending followed by, at least, a baby wipe or even a shower.  Depending on location (you're in NYC), the hh option might be around 80-120.  For an h, 120-220.  And there's always the possibility of upgrading the service.

Once you hobby in earnest, you'll discover that strip clubs are a complete waste of time. I recently went to a NYC club with a few business associates (Have no idea if any of them hobby). Long story short, I ended up in a private back room with one guy and three ladies. He paid $2700 for an hour. I basically just sat their and drank and told the ladies to focus all on him as it was his cash and I felt horrible that he was wasting his money. They basically were topless only and did a little body on body grinding. I don't think he even got a hand job.  

For $2,700 you ought to be directing, producing and starring in your own massive all out orgy. Strip clubs are the ultimate cash drain. They are designed to milk as much money as possible out of guys who generally haven't discovered the advantages and joy of the hobby.

My advice is don't go back, drop more cash, just so you can "hang" out with her. You'll be broke before you have sex. Not worth the expense, when TER makes it so easy for all of us to get laid!

I agree what shakingthesheets says, Strip club is just waste of money once your in this hobby.  I wish i discover this hobby earlier because i also venture strip club before this and given i enjoy some strip club that allow you to touch and all, still can't beat what hobby can offer.

I used to hang out a various strip clubs in Jersey, and almost always left with blue balls.  The times I didn't were never free, and there were many fucked-up incidents that I was fortunate to walk away from unscathed, mostly.  Not that I didn't have fun back then, but the hobby is a better use of resources, and safer.

If she really wanted to hang out with you outside of the club you would already have her number.  You may eventually get to see her outside the club after one or more visits, but the overall investment will likely be quite high relative to the services you receive.  Also many strippers who do escort on the side do not provide GFE services, so ymmv.
