I recently set up a meeting that got cancelled at the last minute. I'm not sure why she cancelled since I did everything the way she requested. I tried contacting the provider, by sending several emails (which was the way we were communicating), but never got a response back. Is this normal? Do most providers, after cancelling, just don't respond back? Do they consider a second meeting?

Sometimes, shit happens; really bad shit. Yes, you could wait to hear what the excuse for not contacting you or replying to your emails within a day or two is. Car accident - hospitalized on pain killers for 5 days ... stuff like that can explain the lack of reply. "My grandmother died -- again -- and I had to leave town in a hurry." may explain the cancellation but not the reason why she couldn't find 2 minutes to text or VM you an apology within a day or so.
If she says "I overslept" it has NO bearing on her promptly replying to you with an apology. Unless she overslept for a week.
Want to see her again give her some space and try again. If you want to hold a grudge then move on.

See what reviews say. If she does not have any pattern of this and you really want to see her, like Sindee said try again in a week and see what response if any you receive. Life happens unfortunately and some circumstances are unforeseen. The only time I had to cancel was on very short notice and I actually dropped off the donation but couldn't stay. She offset our makeup session which was greatly appreciated. Bottom line IMO is you should send her an email in a few days expressing your concern for her well being and hope she is OK. Ask her to contact you when she is available (in a no pressure way). If you get a response - hear it out and trust your judgement. If no response, time to move on. Good luck!
Her reviews show no pattern of this. In fact it's the entire opposite; she seems very professional. I'll follow your advice since I donwant to see her. The only thing I don't quite understand is that when she cancelled, thirugh an email, she suggested to meet the next day. So I sent her a reply but got no response anyway. Thanks anyway for your advice.
