Ok , not rying to beat a Dead Horse here....which seems to be the M.O. on alot of these posts....but the whole rating thing is abso-f'ckin-lutely NUTS !!!! Am I to believe a rating of 8-REALLY HOT or 9- MODEL MATERIAL and 8-WENT THE EXTRA MILE or 9- FORGOT IT WAS A SERVICE is so Horrid !! that a provider would actually be upset over them. Please don't tell me that it's because of the skewed reviews already posted so they need to compete with the other ones. If a provider gets those reviews and a reviewer sees the review and doesn't want to see her because it's not a 10/10 so WHAT !! Anyone who wouldn't want to see a Model who provides service that makes you forget your spending your hard earned $$$ is either looking to catch a shooting star or is extremely shallow I.M.H.O.....but thats just me. Maybe it's time to just use an idea that was messaged to me....offer to meet a girl, pay her a small amount for her time, to meet for a drink or something  ( so she knows your for real ) and if she's as the reviews state then arrange to see her and maybe she'll offer to put your meet fee toward the date ( again, not my idea , but i think it's a good one , I like the idea obviously K.J., wink wink don't want to take credit for it) . Only saying this because 10/10 is absolutely becoming useless as a tool to make a decision on a date. Forget all the crap about BBFS or anything else, we are all grown ups and can make our decisions as we see fit, it has nothing to do with using this forum as it was meant to be used and that is what my point is.

What will readers think if they saw a 10/10 become a 8/10 or a 9/10?
I will tell you right off the bat, it will be seen as cause for concern.
The reviews or the system of 10/10 is already there, unless you bag everyones reviews, less than their usual will be seen as a negative.

The descriptor being a NUMBER has a drawback. It should have remained solely on the basis of the the reviewers art of telling his tale.

Isnt that the problem? The ladies arent allowed in the RO board, are they? The guys arent allowed in the PO board, right? Guys would post more accurate scores in a review and they wouldnt be under pressure for a giving a lady an inflated score because he wanted to see her again or he felt pressured not to break her pages of 10/10 reviews or he didnt want that nasty email in his inbox the next morning. We need a "secret ballot." There is a reason why we vote in this county with the curtain drawn. So nobody is looking over our shoulder and influencing our vote.

Because I dont know whats going on in the PO board. You dont think each side speaks more freely in those boards? Are you serious? Would it be 100% failsafe? Of course not, but anyone who violated it e.g. "Hey John, I know you gave me an 8/9 review and I would like you to change that" could get reported to TER and banned for life. You dont think that would end the pressure for overinflated scoring, or at the very least, greatly reduce it?

It's even more critical when the economy is so shitty and when there is increased competition from new and existing girls.  So you have to understand where they are coming from.

a rogue reviewer for whatever reason slaps a lower score and in an instant perception is changed on a provider.
Take out the numerical value and have the rogue actually write out a negative review and readers can basically pick up the fallacy in his statements.
A number is too easy....

Saying youre sick of booking 10/10's and realizing they're lesser or are you saying that you rated someone whom is used to getting 10/10's what you feel she deserved and it happens to be less and she berated you or another hobbiest did?
Side note, read the reviews instead of the numbers. Does this not give you a better idea? Also, you'll be hard pressed to get a lady to show up for a drink in the middle of her day or night for a mini interview even if it could lead to potential date. That's why I try to attend meet and greets so guys can see me in person. I could never even if I wanted to, meet up daily for mini dates/interviews whatever you want to call them. It's just not practical.

3 Types of people in the hobby
-Those who will look at the number only
-Those who don't
-The fence sitters

The fence sitters dictates the market, those are the ones you are trying to convince to see you. They need the convincing and they will look at the number if it is an already established protocol.

I am a strong believer in the review (yes it can be made up) but I say whenever you wish to see a companion, throw out her top review and her lowest review and what you have is her. All based on a consensus.

There are many men out there who review 10-10 for favors - discounts, and other stuff. I've been approached by a few such men myself and have seen their scores appear under many a name.

As for meeting beforehand...you always have the option to leave if she isn't as advertised. If there's something completely objectionable about her, just pay her a nominal fee and suddenly 'get a stomachache'. But NOBODY is going to look the way you imagined and no performance is ever going to be perfect. That's the beauty of it, though...each meeting is different :-)

Had a very wise old madam say to me, "They go through all these girls looking for Marilyn Monroe, and then they finally find her, she's too blond." LOL.

I look for consistency and trends and throw out "one offs". I tend to look at those as something wrong with the reviewer rather than the girl. But I do understand why they would upset a women, especially one with a great rep.

A pretty good spot. Yes, everyone would love 10/10's all the time but damn I thought it was BLARINGLY obvious that there's probably something amiss. As Phaedra says "something ain't clean in the buttermilk" :-D

I really am not looking for a 10/10...I find it unreasonable to expect to find that...the definition is ONCE IN A LIFETIME !!! That being my point....someone who is rated 10/10 by a reviewer who rates others as 10/10 supports the point that they are false reviews or skewed to say the least....I was just reiterating what has been brought up constantly but never seems to be changed that the system is basically useless as constructed....the meet thing was not my idea but not a bad one  and i would be hard pressed to do it regularly but if i was interested in seeing someone I would try and do it for the sake of not wastin either of our time. This TER reviewing system is fun to look at and basically that's it. For now I just try and see the girls I know or who I get recomendations on since it's just very unreliable to use reviewers information anymore. I have given only 1 10/10 in the whole time i have been hobbying and it was a long time ago and i have seen some great ladies who were rated extremely high by me, just not another 10/10 and i may never meet another but so be it...that is what a 10/10 is supposed to be.....That again is just my opinion...not saying I'm right in my thinking or not just my opinion....

I have no idea of the ins and outs of whats going on.  But i can attest that TER and the hobby have changed these past few years.  There are ladies walking around with 10-10's who are really 8-8's in my book.  And there seem to be a bunch or them.  There are also seems to be more ladies out there charging a bigger hourly rate.  What the exact connection is I don't now.  Granted, inflation etc... simply the game has changed and so has TER.   Why and how has it changed?  I've just been looking with soft eyes, but if anyone wants to get clinical and specific please share.

The mention of rogue reviews gave me pause.
If a woman has a list of 10/10 reviews, and then a guy gives her an 8/9 review, is that rogue? Seriously?

I have agreed with the OP on this subject before. I also agree that the reviews would be more reliable if the ladies had no access to them.
10/10 is a joke.

Where someone decided that giving me 2/2 is best revenge for his assholish behaviour.

Sure, anyone reading it can figure out what happened but it did the damage as far as numeric averages are concerned.

my question is a review 'rogue' if the scores deviate from the average by a point or two?
