I found it somewhat surprising that the present poll asks if a hobbyist would see a provider who offers BBFS, and the majority said YES. But despite this poll on TER, and especially given the response, TER will not allow mention of BBFS in a review. Why put up a poll like this, see the response, yet not allow it in a review? Perhaps TER ought to change its policy re BBFS in reviews?

I am of the belief that BBFS should remain banned. It does not edify this community but tears at the fabric of it. This community should be a safe place (sexually and legally) for men and women to come together for adult fun and interaction. Sex, fetish, role play, BDSM or whatever are all a part of a healthy adult sex life and the last thing we need are providers and hobbyist who are not playing safe putting everyone else at risk.
You can't ban the act any more than religious nuts can ban the hobby. People have always done it, and people will always do it.
By banning discussion, you are doing the same thing as those who don't want sex-ed and condom use taught in school. The mentality is "if we don't talk about it, then it won't happen." It doesn't work.
Not at all. Two persons having bareback sex by agreement are VERY different than having sex with a minor, who, by legal definition, is incapable of entering into that agreement.
That's why you'll pay a relatively small explicit fine for P4P, should you be caught, and spend a lot of time in a nasty jail having bareback sex without agreement, if you're caught for having sex with a minor.
BBFS is taboo among the hobbying community, yet based on the poll results, I'm pretty sure that there are quite a few providers who allow BBFS on a per customer, YMMV basis. Of course, you will rarely if ever see that posted in a review.
How many of us are actually willing to admit that they've engaged in BBFS with a provider, let alone reveal who that BBFS-offering provider is?
While I am not criticizing your personal decision, I think the data (at least six to eight or so years ago) demonstrates you're in the minority.
One of the best-known, most-popular providers in TER history was known for her BBFS; it was a broadly known "secret". In spite of this commonly known feature, she was incredibly popular, which was reflected in her rates and infrequent availability. She "retired" a few years ago, and spent quite a sum of money to erase her presence on the Internet after a dissatisfied client outed her to her family, but she is still providing, UTR, in two major US cities. If you know who I'm describing, try Googling for her photo, I'll bet you a beer you won't find one. Another provider, on hearing that I had had sex with the BBFS provider with a condom, declared that I was the only client in the geographic area who had done so. Other patrons told me the same thing; there was little reluctance to BBFS with her. Other providers who did doubles with her often did them only once, because they would not do BBFS as she did.
I fully support your decision to avoid BBFS providers, just as I support providers who do not do BBFS. But I suspect many decide otherwise.
