So this part of the board does not allow provider ads.  I guess some providers are not happy about that.  Some have thought of ways to circumvent the new rules.

Thus, the "post your tushy" or whatever picture you have, by the way include your links to reviews and ad site, and viola, an ad post on the discussion board.  The thread started by this provider is the second of the week.  As we used to get castrated for posting the donuts.

...other stupidity that seems to have flooded the boards lately.

A while back, TER made some radical changes, everyone was suddenly moderated, practically nothing could be posted without being deleted. Virtually any post was considered un-PC. A lot of members were banned, the vast majority of whom deserved it, mostly for being downright threatening to other members, providers and hobbyists alike.

The boards went silent. People just gave up.

More recently, TER decided to change in the opposite direction. Many who were banned were invited to return. Suddenly, practically anything was permitted. The boards turned bizarre.

A parade of alias' making outrageous comments, uncivil, often downright offensive, obnoxious. Other alias' responding with equally outrageous, uncivil, offensive and obnoxious replys.

Either way, meaningful content was nebulous at best. This board desparately needs to find a happy medium. Yes, a certain level of permissiveness is necessary to encourage meaningful discussion. Yet, by the same token, it needs to be tempered with reasonable regulation to ensure the aforementioned discussion, a sense of safety for all members, maybe even a sense of loose structure.

Admittedly, it's a bit of a tightrope walk to find that happy medium, but it seems TER has attempted to find it by moving in radical, dimetrically opposite, directions, first one way, then the other.

I don't blame BP for this. It's clear this is how upper management wants to handle things. Previously it was total restrictiveness, now it's all hands off. I'm sure there are still some exceptions.

Change can be a good thing, but it needs to executed with good judgement. Radical changes without rhyme or reason just don't work.

The Florida board has been ruined by all theme days all the time & I find it desperate when the same  girls post theme pics 5 days a week.  I would rather see girls participate on the boards in other ways.  If the girls are going to post pics that are racier and more X-rated, I might reconsider my opinion.  Most of the girls posting theme  pics are girls that I wouldn't even bother clicking on their ads

To get more involvement on TER boards.  I'm not even in the USA.  It doesn't really benefit me at all at the moment.  If you read the ad- it includes rules such as no website, etc.  I haven't posted on the provider ad boards in months, because i'm not accepting dates.   This was entertainment.  But I'll happily quit if this it pisses you off that much.

the majority have become assholes on here.  I have been bored as hell overseas and peeking at TER every two seconds.  I decided to make a game for myself- picking out men I would like to meet in person based on online personas.  The list was pathetically low.  The majority of names I've noticed consist of people I would like to make a point to avoid.  

I hope people drop using aliases constantly and become a bit more civil.

We do encourage theme threads and we did ask Destiny to start them. She is out of the country right now, so it has nothing to do with advertising. Destiny was also not the only provider that we inquired with, but she was the one who so kindly stepped up to the plate. It also seems that the community has enjoyed them judging by the reads and friendly replies that the threads had received.

As far as the donuts are concerned, I wish they would return too. I always looked forward to them on Sunday mornings.

So you see there is nothing more to it then simply adding some spice to a sometimes bland board.

Perhaps the OP would prefer this board to continue it's deterioration where certain posters are almost automatically flamed and insulted by idiot alias' just for posting anything, others are slammed for posting ISO pots looking for ladies to cater to fetishes that others (alias' of course) find distasteful, and even where ladies are put down because their appearance is not to certain alias's liking.  Particularly distasteful are the racist alias posts that popped up under the queries regarding BDJ's apparent lack of activity here, as well as earlier in this thread.  

Personally, I like the theme day threads, and love it when our lady friends tease us by posting pics to titillate us.  Yes, it is a form of advertising, but many of us don't mind that, and it does work.  As for the OP stating that the theme day threads have ruined the the Florida board, obviously, his opinion is not shared by the board membership there, as those posts have been a major, and popular, feature there for years.  The Sunday morning donuts were popular here as well, until the LI dudes that did the lifting ceased doing so, and no one picked up on it.

I don't expect this board to be a paragon of intellectual discourse, but really, some of this is so far and away beyond questionable that it truly warrants instant deletion, at the very least.

Please don't get me wrong here, I realize you're following the policy set forth by the TER powers that be, and I appreciate that it's not easy to moderate a board, especially one that's primarily NYC, and I do appreciate your efforts, but it gives me the impression of total hands off policy, which in my mind is just too far in the opposite direction from the previous policy. Schooled?  You are a schmuck.  At least this thread got the semblence of a discussion going.  What I did not know when I made the Original Post was that the board moderators requested Destiny to start these picture theme threads.  My point was simply that these type of threads are not much more than disguised ads.  Anyone here may disagree but that is my opinion.

So maybe the answer is the board should not be bifurcated into discussion and ad.  Besides, other than flame wars and alias attacks there is very little real discussion going on here.

And not to insult the moderators, but if they encouraged Destiny (I was not meaning to attack you in any way for the threads you started) maybe they are behind all of the bull shit alias posts as well.

I thought pic threads sounded like fun, which is why i agreed to do them.  

I  went out of my way to get friends and hot providers to post pics.  I have no problem with suggestions.  Rules such as "no website links" are already included...  

However, I am thoroughly embarrassed to see the words "pathetic" and "desperate" popping up.  Again, many of these girls posted because I approached and privately asked them to.

What can I say, but that i wish you would be kinder.

I can live comfortably with the knowledge that there are those who are not receptive to such threads.  Just skip over it, unless you are the type to click on each post because of your nature (sometimes labeled as an obsession).  You talk as if you have conducted a survey.  "...most guys"?  Really?  I've heard that 4 out of 5 dentists recommend fluoridated toothpaste.  It's just opinions if there is no substantiated/documented proof.  Show me the primary data/process and I'll read it as an educational source.  Try not to limit the geographic segmentation to just the subjects living in the 'world' according to you.
