I booked a nice incall today for a date, but he cancelled at the last minute!  Does anyone have advice for avoiding this in the future/not being out the price of the incall today?

Best advice...

Don't book a hotel for just 1 appointment unless he is a known, regular customer that you know won't flake.

Have a cancellation policy.  Cancel with x amount of time of the appointment, and you have to pay 50% or something like that.

Require a deposit sent to you in advance before booking a hotel or travel.  Some guys won't pay a deposit, but sometimes you have to do it.

then tell him that he needs to give you a 50% deposit first, since he cancelled on you before. You should make some sort of policy so that doesn't happen.

I'm sorry that happens, it's really annoying to spend all this money on a nice room and have someone cancel.

I've had this happen to me twice in the past 7 years I've been providing. Both guys NCNS'ed on me and tried booking me again, but I told them that due to them both NCNS'ing, I would not see them.

Twice in the last year I booked appointments with TER reviewed providers, spoke with them on the phone, confirmed the time and place and upon arrival at the parking lot phoned for the room number.  No response.  No callback.  No nothing.  The last provider 'no show, no response' was this month and I followed up later in the day with a one word text, 'Why?'  I never heard back

NCNS is always disrespectful.  If you go to a girls hotel parking lot and now you can't reach her, you have absolutely wasted time and possibly money to get there.  The girl should either make it up to you, or you would be within your rights to post that she did a NCNS.

However, that's nothing compared to what a girl loses when a guy does a NCNS.  In this case, she paid for a hotel room in Manhattan.  That's a couple hundred bucks, out of her pocket.  She also might have turned down appointments from other potential customers, so not only is she losing the money for the hotel room, but she is losing the potential income from someone else.  This NCNS could have cost her $600, or more.

Obviously, that also runs both ways.  Guys have gotten hotel rooms and been NCNS'd as well.  it's always a bad thing.  But in one case it's an annoying inconvenience, and in another case it's a financial burden.

Sadly, they are often not accurate.  Some of the Eros ads have had the available now stamp running 24/7 for ages.  I don't think Citivibe is any better.  

Some of the ads, amusingly enough, say they don't accept appointments without advance notice.  I think it's funny to list yourself as available now if you won't take a last minute appointment.

I have always thought it would be a great idea to create a reverse escort service that the ladies could call up and say "send me a client".    Realistically, it would just be a mailing list of pre-verified guys who signed up because they can sometimes be available last minute.

Women who find themselves with a hotel room and no client could contact the list and offer up a "save me from paying for this hotel" discount.  The willing guys would all get an email or text message with a link to the girls ad and contact info, so they could decide if she was their type, and maybe make the call.  There would be no guaranty, of course, but it would be something.  

It would be better than posting here, because sometimes people only log in here once a day.  Also, if they still have the rule about posting 1 ad a week, then if the girl had posted an ad a few days earlier, then she wouldn't be allowed to post such an available now ad.

I feel for you ladies who have to use hotels, because this always seems to be an issue. I would advise him you are going to DNS his stupid ass for not even covering the cost, which a gentleman would certainly do. This is why so many providers are now doing away with short calls, and they require a deposit. Hotels in your area are not exactly a hundred bucks, so I would tell him to either make it right, or suffer the consequences. It might not be his fault he cancelled, but he damn well knew you had to book this place ONLY for him.

See if there are any local ladies that you can share an apartment with, only for this business. That is what I have always done, and avoided this problem. We paid x amount per month anyway, so the cost was just a business expense, not something we were out of depending on only one client. Bottom line...most of them do not give two shits about you or the money you lose. I would get the word out.

You actually SAVE money when a provider does it to you, not that it is any better of course, but get real. Our expense is always more than yours. You were going to spend that money anyway for some ass, now you have it saved. Does not work that way for us, I am afraid. We are not only out of the date money, but now DOWN on the hotel cost. I simply don't deal with guys who operate that way and a deposit insures at least the hassle is covered.

I can't easily hobby in the evenings.  It's much easier for me to skip out of work for a few hours than to be missing from home.  While it's OK for me to leave work for a while, it is reflected in my timecard.  I am losing a few hours pay every time I see a girl during the day.

1) Sorry, but I have little interest in "making this a better" board, unless that means posting when and if I feel I have something useful to say.  I thought WC's advice was good and felt no need to add to it.  Sometimes it's just that simple.

There are at least 5-6 ladies that use the one I used when I needed something for 1 - 2 hours.  All are well reviewed, well known low volume NYC companions. So each may have had 1 - 3 appointments a week there.
