It seems that she was trying to do the right thing and called in the cops, herself.

Jumping way off base, and making a suggestion too late to be of any help, it seems that one of the girls made a costly mistake by not taking proper care of her belongings. We used to joke about the basic courses to be offered to escorts at Jack Dunphy University.  If she had audited that Economics course, the whole problem might have been avoided.
