agency vrs. independent
is it better to see independents or use an agency in nyc. agencies seem to be popular in the bigg apple. here in la, the market is mostly independent.
my question is... since agencies take 50% or more of the girls' money, isn't the service half as good though them? basically one is paying twice as much than they are receiving in service.

Agency girls (especially OURS) get much much higher reviews
overall than ANY independent girls, and ALL $300 independents.
* Yes there could be an occassional exception.
In NYC the best & brightest girls go to the agencies.
The best agencies are only interested in the best girls.
NOT every girl can work with a great agency.
EVERY girl can be an independent and charge $ $$ $$$ $$$$ $$$$$
You can shop at a supermarket, goto a hotdog stand,

Dine at the finest restaurant in town.

To characterize agencies in NYC as doing 1/2 as good a job is not accurate, at all.
There are many fine agencies in NYC, including Julie's and the up-and-coming (I still want a recount on the last contest LOL), NY Confidential.
To say that there are many incredibly wonderful independent ladies is an understatement.
Do your homework. See which lady interests you the most and don't base your decision on agency v. independent.

Indies are less likely to be checking the clock, it's far more leisurely and more GFE, and, since they're making more, it's far less likely they've just seen (and possibly not showered after seeing) several clients. Want to have guy number 1,2, and 3's smells in the room -- and all over your girl??
With indies there are no calls to check in with the agency and see if she can stay 1/2 an hour more with a charge to your card before seeing the next guy. Your personal and employment info is far less likely to be on file forever in someone's potential future criminal case (indies are far less targets than the big agencies). A friend of mine is scared out of his mind because he was a regular client of a recently busted agency in LA.
And indies are more likely to bend over backwards to give you 100% of what you're paying, rather than the measly 50% effort/ compensation agency girls get.
From my experience indies are also brighter and more interesting and fun than agency girls who just sell themselves out to guys they haven't even corresponded with or personally screened. How sad and desperate is that!
Indie is the only way to go. Lot of great ones in NY.

I have never used an agency and doubt that I will. That is not a slam on most agencies. I have never tried NY Jewels (previous poster), NY Confidential or BDJ all of whom have great reputations. I would try NY Jewels or BDJ in a second but for me several things are very important which is why I stick with the indies. Just my preferance, that's all. I will run down my reasons;
1) It is much more personal dealing with an indy. With an indy, you only deal with her and for me,that is a major comfort factor.
2)Scheduling, most of the indies I have seen are available most of the time. When I call, they pick up the phone or answer their own emails. With a service, you have to deal with their schedule and see them when it is good for them, not just when it is good for you.
3) Price, with an indy, you pay once. With an agency, you pay twice. Once to the agency, then again to the girl. Of course, you don't have to tip. If I were to see a nice agency gal and I had a good time, I am certain I would wind up paying 50% more than with the indy since I would want to give a very nice tip even though I am not technically obligated to.
4)The clock factor. From what I have heard through many sources, once the time is up with an agency, it is up. You pay for an hour, you get an hour. Most of the indies I have seen we have gone past the hour, a couple way past.
5)With an agency, they have to call in I believe. This also makes me feel uncomfortable. This is not the case with an indy. I understand part of it is a safety factor.
6)This is just my opinion and I don't know this for sure but I would have the feeling that I would feel more like being on an assembly line with an agency where I don't get the same feeling with the indy's. Just a perception, it may or not be reality. I give the top agencies the benefit of the doubt on this one.
7)I don't like hotels. Also, from what I hear (If I am wrong, please any agency feel free to correct me on this one) agency sessions are either at hotels or at the agency location which is not all that private. I like to be in the providers own place which is where most of my experiences have been. If I lived in NYC, I would be fine with them coming to me. I don't have a SO that would not be an issue. Where I live, that is not realistic.
8) I like mature providers who are at least 30+. I happend to notice that 90% of the providers from the few agencies that I have considered are under 30. Again, just my preferance. There is nothing at all wrong with providers under 30.
To be perfectly candid, if NY Jewels of BDJ had several providers over 30 that I could chose from, I most likely would give them a shot due to their great reputation and overlook the other 7 reasons. The last reason for me is a dealbraker.
I thought the above 9 reasons are all reasonable.
Again, to each is own, just my preferances.
For the crankman ....I have been told that the split is 1/3 agency 2/3 girl
For MW.... I too like a mature provider.... maybe you can recommend a few.... ( NY-NJ area)
I work with a well known upscale agency and the donation is split 50/50. And the hotel costs are also split evenly.
