Hi; I have been seeing a provider pretty regularly and recently during "downtime" we have chatted on a variety of subjects.  She is weighing her options and mentioned her handler is talking 1/2 the donations to schedule, facilitate, etc.    The program is outcall only.  That struck me as high, curious what the crowd thinks.    Hopefully this is not taboo...if so I never asked....

Best regards,
OTL

when you are the girl but at the same time the agent is doing all of the leg work (which is allot) considering screening, and acquiring the clients  and lets face it, if the girl does not like it she can always do it on her own.

The better agencies that most of us are familiar with in this area do NOT take 50% or over -- it's more like 40%. It depends on a variety of variables including hotel splits, ad costs, photo shoot costs, travel costs,  and how known or busy the girl is.

We take 35% and the girls are very happy.  We also cover all photoshoot expenses, no matter how busy the girl is.  I think 50% is way too much in my opinion, especially when it's outcall only.

I am no authority, but what I've heard (on this board, for example) is that the fee at a NYC AMP is split 50:50. Obviously, the AMP management provides advertising, screening, room, laundry, etc..  (Do they also provide the, eh, "safety equipment" and other essentials? I think yes, but I'm not sure.)

I would think that the handler's fee might be negotiable based on variables such as location (within the city, that is) and so on. A provider could charge a smaller fee (hence, a lesser amount going to the handler) by doing incall at one star hotel or a telephone booth.  If the fee is broken down to (personal services + hotel + ads + makeup + wardrobe + ...), maybe the handler's fee should be fixed some other way so the provider can "splurge" on expenses (nicer hotel, professional beautician / manicure) without a 50% premium going to the handler and still provide great affordable service.

There's a difference in outcall depending on whether someone cuts corners by hopping the subway, taking a taxi or using a limo service. Should the handler get a fixed fee or get more if the provider opts to take a limo?

(I know the OP mentioned outcall. I'm just being more general.)

At first glance, it would seem that providers would do better by going independent; could cut prices some but still take home more. But what's the trade-off? How much additional business does the agency provide, what does the agency pay toward hotels, advertising, etc. Does agency screening of clients make a difference? 50%, or even 40% may be too high, but I'd guess the bagency contributes something of value.

Why is she forking over 50% when she is outcall only?.

the handler arranges dates and screens depending on the situations sends a driver to pick her up late at night.  I would not say there isn't value just price was the question.  she is oversubscribed so there is not much promotion needed.
