Yes, there is a place in Chelsea but I'm not sure of the spelling.  It's called La Semanna or La Semmana.  They usually advertise in the Village Voice and offer rooms for half day rates.  Mirrors as well as hot tubs.  Very affordable.

I've heard of that place as a short stay hotel.

I though I had heard that it was a real dive, but don't remember.  I never would have thought they'd have something that no Marriot in the city has.

Go figure.

Let me ammend my initial question to say that I don't need answers limited to short stay places.  This is for a "friend" from out of town who would be here over night.

A penthouse sounds like it might be a bit high profile for a provider visiting town, but nice for an intimate overnight.

I will definitely check it out.

The affordable hotel with Jacuzzis in the room is La Samanna at 25 W. 24th Street. Last time I was there, they weren't super plush rooms, but they did have Jacuzzis with lots of mirrors.  Very clean.  I don't have the phone number, but go check them out.  Very low profile and I think they are used to having someone come in for a "rendezvous."

Now that the WTC Path is live there's a Marriot family hotel in Journal Square with a Jacuzzi.
