Having been in the hobby for decades, I'm a bit embarrassed to be asking this -- but I've been on hiatus for a while and perhaps am out of synch with the world.

Used to be that the main contact with a new provider was email, which allowed a bit of chit chat and peek into the personality of the provider.  Now it seems most Eros listings, and many others, have only phone numbers.  I've tried texting a couple without success.  Also, many of these ads say nothing about rates and incall location, either of which could be deal breakers.

So what's the drill?  I usually like to have a bit of banter via email before committing.  So do I just call and ask about rates, etc?  Seems a bit dangerous.    Text?   Or stick to the formula of only seeing well reviewed providers?

Would love to hear anecdotes and wisdom.  The latter is getting damned precious in these times.

Many thanks.

You need to search the General and other boards for discussions of Eros. Their USA branch was raided / busted by LE a couple of years ago. They still operate but with a questionable LE presence. I'll let others who know better add to this (or search for the earlier posts).
.
Then, I think you answered your own Q with your "stick to the formula" sentence: "only see well reviewed providers."
.
Good luck! Have fun!

Instead of Eros - try Tryst Link.  You'll get more contact info.
