To join so that my voice can be heard. I never had much to do with them, for there is only so much time that you can spend on this hobbie. But I felt after viewing their New York Board and seeing my buddies try to fight the good fight I had to join them. Thanks maxxs for your good comments in behalf of TER. You will now have some company. This is supposed to be a fun hobbie and we have to stop this jelousy and infighting. There is room for everybody to coexist in peace and harmony. No I am not trying to start a battle just to even the playing field. I would like to hear what my fellow TER buds have to say? And what say you Dingus?
In my 5 yrs in the Hobby , I would say much of what was said is true. Its been said many times before. Listen , believe what you want its a free country.
I'm not a member nor have I ever been a member of TBD and therefore never posted there.
As Yogi Bear or was it Berra....lol... once said..."Nobody goes there anymore...it's too crowded (with subjects and no discussion)... and I agree with Buddy and Ex-Lurker that mudslinging on any board serves no purpose.
Its all about having fun.

On that board and this one you see people arguing and fighting, and you read stuff you don't believe. It's the nature of any board, related to this hobby or not. It's like television commercials: they're useful in letting you know what's out there but you don't take them literally.
Living some distance from the city, I like it that BigDoggie has boards for every state and for "other areas" in states like New York with big cities. As a consumer, it gives me easier access to the information I'm looking for.
I used to visit TBD almost every day. (That was 6 months ago). As I became more and more reliant on TER, I visited TBD less and less until now, when I visit maybe once very two weeks or so. What really drove me away, were the posts and battles of 2 months ago when they used the BUDDY and ENERGIZERBUNNY names and tried to masquerade as if TBD poster was actually Buddy and/or Bunny. It became very ugly and awfully sophomoric. It was also counterproductive, destructive and unnecessarily accusatory. Now, I see where they have posted a thread about TER and BDJ going 'downhill'. I'm with my pal Buddy: I believe there is MORE than enough business to go around WITHOUT all this infantile catfighting! I just don't understand why folk don't simply concentrate on their own business let everyone THRIVE!!! Just my thoughts!
