i appreciate the care you put into your business amsterdam but you are not in the majority.  the agency girls are treated as if they are on an assembly line and there are many indies that are on drugs or just hard up for cash and could not give a shit about this topic.  many of the girls are not here for the long run and are very short sighted in their approach in not only maintaining a quality client base but in attracting new ones.  in my profession, i would lose clients if i did not at least maintain the allure of professionalism.  the experience that i recently had was such a surprise to me, especially since this lovely lady is a regular in my rotation.  i am hoping that she reads this thread and takes it to heart.  i have reviewed her and do not wish to soil her reputation or hurt her business through this discussion board but i will probably never see her again.

I for one take alot of pride in myself, my outward appearance and my personal hygiene! I am VERY aware of what is going on down south, and I would NEVER not be 100percent fresh, clean, sweet and shaved for a client. It is VERY important to take care of myself and to be all part of the fantasy for you.

at times i was amused and at times cringing reading this post.  i think the lesson learned is to know where to shop for what you want to eat.  i recently went to a place that had what appeared to be hundreds of items on the menu.  no way this could be fresh...so i ordered two eggs over easy.  i enjoy a good steak every now and then...so i go to a butcher and buy a dry aged ribeye.  grilled to perfection...pink and juicy on the inside....same with seafood...i go to a reputable fish monger...when i feel like going asian....i'm willing to pay a premium to get high quality.  the same should apply here.  if you go high volume you are rolling the dice....if you go with low volume...high end and it smells like weeks old sushi..that is not right..and unlike a restaurant...you can't just put some sauce on top!  bon appetit!

Thank you, ilovehair for raising this issue.  It's an important one.  And thank you, Amsterdam, for your positive participation on the NY boards while you've been in town.  Thankfully I have never had the type of experience that you report and trust that it is the exception.  I'm sure that most ladies would be appalled and upset if a gentlemen felt that they were not properly prepared for a date, since all of the ladies I've met in this hobby take their professionalism very seriously.  Like in any business based on customer service, it's the little things that make the difference. . .
