So this is coming from a guy who recently dropped $2k in AC for a duo.  I'm also typically magnanimous (I made over $20k in REAL donations this year) and I'm not new to this. I must be a target type of client for many of you?  I'm heading to midtown Tuesday and started browsing ads. I first noticed one provider I have seen twice has doubled her rates to
to $800/hr.  I looked around ie sorted by price on p411, and even $500/hr which two years ago was higher endish now seems clearly at the lower end. Seriously? I mean granted there are some exquisite women in NYC who are low volume and price accordingly. But there are a lot of women in NYC in this biz and it's hard to believe this pricing is working for all of you.  I've enjoyed hobbying in Switzerland, Singapore, Canada and Japan among others . My take is NYc gals at best better market themselves. You can talk about the legal angle but TER and internet has obliterated that risk which was always negligible in an outcall 4 star hotel.  I mean guys you can fly to Montreal and for $180/hr get a hot smart young sweet girl. Now I know if you are a provider in NYC you are "then go the hell to Montreal" and I will when biz takes me there. I'm 40, great fun ,closing in on Ok weight,  half way cute , well dressed and a success. Although I can well afford to I really dont feel like paying the price of a new custom suit to spend two hours with a girl (much of which will be conversation as I like) just because we're in NYC. So.I wont I guess. Yea and I know everything costs more in NYC, except I know some great inexpensive restaurants (my favorites=better than any damn meat packing district venue my uber wealthy hedge fund friends insist on taking me to) and hotels  and they're pretty good. It's just NYC providers price segmentation out of whack. Simply means less times I can hobby per year.  By pricing themselves so high there are women in NYC that I know I will NEVER see.  Thats a shame, because I'm a decent guy, clean, well mannered and kinda loyal.  If I see you once and enjoy our time I will probably see you again, perhaps several times.  Sure, you might have to work a little more to get the same money out of me than you would out of some rich guy, but are there really that many rich guys?  Do they book early and respect your time?  I dunno.  Hey, its not my call to tell people their business, if you're making money and enjoying high end clients and rates.  Good for you.

I'm not rich, but I'm not cheap either.  I will pay higher prices for better service on occasion, but I've also found that higher price does not necessarily mean better service.  Some of the sweetest providers I have met have been sub 350 MILFs who due to age (in their 40's like me) have felt they couldn't charge thru the roof. Heck, the value of the service I got from some of them was better than from gals I paid double for.  Guess which ones got repeat business from me.  At this point the only time I go higher than 400 is if it is for multi hour or for a specific provider that I am interested in.  My searches on TER are all set 450 and below

Yes.  There are a lot of guys who believe an hour or two worth of pleasure is worth more than my weekly paycheck.  Again, no judgements.  It is what it is.  Good for the girls who can make that kind of scratch and good for the idiots who pay it.  There is enough of a variation in prices and quality in NY to never have to pay above 400 for pretty much the same service you get for double that for an hour.  Heck, sometimes even less.  Does this mean I advocate for low rent "BP special" gals?  No, I look for nice looking indies with a solid track record.  The high price courtesans aren't looking at my blue collar ass anyway.  They want champagne dreams and luxury.  All I can offer is an hour with a beer bellied goatee bearded guy who doesn't stink and is a nice fella.  If I were a hot PYT female I'd upcharge and take the marks... er... clients for all the market would bear.

That 7 would be a keen observation except a lot of his girls are Long Island not NYC. His NYC girls are  around $450 which would make you a small god in Toronto.

Quite frankly, there are plenty of guys in NYC who can afford all manner of rates, and way too many guys who can afford $180/hour or whatever "donation you're in the mood for".  I have no interest in meeting ten or twenty guys per week when I'm at home trying to live my life, and I set my rates accordingly.  When I offered a $500/one hour option I received way too many inquiries for my taste, so I eliminated that option and found a ninety minute minimum rate that works for me and the type of balance I seek in my life.  I'm sure other ladies also set their prices according to supply and demand.

Hate to tell you this, but the clients generally get better as the pricing goes up.  They schedule way in advance and book more time than they actually need rather than booking less time and hoping to get away with overstaying.  Some guys genuinely can't afford the higher rates and that is too bad for them, and nothing to shrivel my nose at.  Economic reality is worth respecting, however my time is limited as are other ladies' available time, and there are also ladies available in every price range imaginable in NYC if you know where to look.  But then there are guys like the OP, who can well afford to spend $2K on a session and just want to complain because they think a tailored piece of fabric is worth more than a lady's intimacy and don't want to pay more than a certain amount based on principal.  That's fine too, but I don't see why I would be inclined to have an ounce of sympathy for that perspective.  Guess when was the last time I spent $2000 on two hours of my own pleasure?  Never.

What we offer is a luxury, and our pricing is our prerogative and set to fit our individual needs.  If a lady isn't in your price range, simply move on.  If you can't afford to hobby in NYC that's one thing, but if you simply don't want to pay the prices on principal, because you don't think our companionship is worth as much an inanimate possessions you pay for, complaining about it just makes you look like an asshole.

The funniest part us that the OP thinks he "must be a target type of client for many of [us]".  Now that's a sign of delusion.  LOL.

don't disagree with you Zoey, but the pricing in NYC certainly has gone up significantly in the past years.  When I started about 8 years ago, $300/hour was average, $400 was high, and anything higher was unheard of.  Now $500 is the 'starting' point.

I have no problem with paying $500 (or more) for an established provider, but the thing that really gets me mad is a girl with zero or one review, "new to the business" who is charging $700-800/hour.  I'm sorry, but that doesn't fly with me.

Now if I wanted to spend $2k I would and could but it would be for a half a day or more plus a meal.  I just don't fancy paying to watch a woman eat anything but... well... me. (So to speak).  Then it would be 6 months before I could see another provider.  Again, not a choice I want.  Has nothing to do with the ladies.

However, a peeve that I do have was mentioned by another poster as well re: new providers charging high prices with nary a reference nor review to their name.  Thats just hubris.  If she gets it, again, good for her, but I would never even look at a provider like that

I wonder if that has anything to do with hotel and apartment rental prices skyrocketing in the last few years as well.  I'd suspect there is a direct correlation.  I know that my rental expenses to host Incall are a large part of why my rates in NYC are higher than almost anywhere else in the country, definitely.  It costs me a minimum of $240 to host someone for an individual appointment, and that doesn't even include budgeting for supplies, toys, lingerie, advertising (a huge expense), and general administrative overhead.  That's just my transportation and Incall rental cost for a single appointment.  And as a low volume lady, I'm not seeing multiple clients in one day except under rare occasions, though as a busy professional chef, I do almost always have multiple personal commitments in one day that does make it hard work to arrange my schedule to make time to give a gentleman the fantasy he craves.  So I simply can't be charging less due to time constraints and the cost of hosting, in NYC.  Now in other parts of the country I am happy to charge less where my expenses are lower.  This is just what works well for me.  

Also, have you considered that the new girls with no reviews who start out charging $700/hour and up are usually intentionally seeking to avoid the type of client who judges a lady's value based solely on the presence of reviews?  Otherwise they would offer a lower starting price.  Different ladies seek different types of clients and set their pricing accordingly.  Of course it is definitely your prerogative to avoid booking with these types of ladies as well.  There is plenty of biz on Eros for new ladies with high prices, but it's a bit rarer for clients on TER to be interested.  Still, some like to be the first to review a hot new luxury experience in the city and take the plunge... and many more take the plunge who will never write a review which is why they don't mind seeing an unreviewed lady in the first place.  It's actually way harder for a $700/hour lady to get her first review based purely on who her target audience tends to be: guys who are willing to see unreviewed providers if her marketing is convincing and therefore don't rely on the review system alone to determine value.  Some of those guys write reviews upon request, but not many.

Inflation sucks all around but it happens in every aspect of life in NYC, not just related to getting laid!  I wish I could rent an apartment in Manhattan for the same price that I could rent an apartment in Nashville or Philadelphia, but it's just not going to happen unfortunately.  Location location location!

I'm here visiting right now.  The amazing place I stay cost me $400/night - and that is a downright steal for a place large enough for my massage table and with a luxurious two person soaking tub.  I've paid near that for a shoe box in this city!  Add in my flight, shuttle from the airport (yep, I do pinch pennies where I can), advertising on Eros?

Yes, some ladies do manage to get a deal on PriceLine, though I just peaked and $300/night is average even in the "Express Deals" section right now.  Add in the extra charges for tax and wi-fi... And yes, some ladies can take the train vs. flying, etc.

By my super rough calculations - It takes about $500-$600/day visit here, assuming you work *every day* instead of enjoying the city, or there is no profit towards expenses back home.  

Maybe it's easier if you live here?  A friend of mine lives in city and she pays $3.5k+/month for her apartment in-call.  Add in advertising, utilities, supplies, etc, let's call it $4.5k.  Now let's pretend she isn't in grad school and trying to live a life, and that she could work 4-days each week.  With one week off for aunt flow, that would leave 12 working days.  That's still $375 a day before she has money for groceries and tuition.

Truth be told, I don't come to this city to make money.  Hands down I'd make more staying at home.  However I do have some very good personal friends in town that I love to come visit, so I am ok with a simple break-even or just "heavily subsidized" trip.  I can't imagine that most of the lovelies visiting and living in this city would be happy with that...

$500?  Doesn't sound so steep now... In fact, if a ladies business model were for just one session a day, and (imagine if you will!), not every day of the week?  I can easily see pricing at $800 so that there is a profit on that one visit.

There are some deals in Baltimore, relatively speaking. But I have over a dozen NYC working girls in on my favorites list who are in the $200 to $350 an hour range who have a minimum of ten reviews. Just go over reviews while watching the news or cooking a meal and pretty soon you will develop a pretty deep favorites list.

I believe that women should charge what they want to charge and men should pay what they want to pay.  

But if you charge 500 a visit and average two visits a week that is $50,000 a year. Four visits a week is $100,000 a year. And that is without taxes. Now the economics of visiting are going to be different since you have expenses of a flight and hotel on top of your apartment back home. But the economics of visiting anywhere, Boston, DC, or wherever aren't going to be much different.

Amen. As a former provider--I totally agree with you. Any guy who complains about money is not the client you want to see.  

We are giving all we have--us, our time, our bodies. That should come at a price. With all due respect--how dare OP compare a woman to a suit...to a material thing. Unfortunately, that kind of thinking is a luxury only for the rich. Many men just think of this as a "service" like hotel concierge or something. And I hear you--I'm sure there are very few girls on here who go out and spend even $200 on ourselves--unless it is the gift of a client.  

While we provide a service--its one, at least in escorting, that involves so much more. Now--I'll say that if you charge $800 an hour or more--you shouldn't be frigid, and you should be 100% "there". Not texting or surfing the internet--a man definitely deserves 100% of you. But at the same time--that doesn't mean without physical boundaries.  

The "price" is about an experience, not simply a service. And for many girls, $800 + is what it takes if you want us to treat you like its not a service. It's the price for (our) peace of mind, and makes a more enjoyable session for both of us.  

In my last few years as a working girl, I switched to body rub. While the pay was less, I found that I was a better provider overall. Less burnout and less risk. No judgements on other stuff! I just found it made me last longer and sleep better

The problem is that guys start to take girls for granted--not all, but many. They forget that  enjoying the company of a beautiful girl and all that they expect from it is a "luxury" not a need. Wives are for needs :-P

And that $50k/year will barely cover expenses in NY, that $100k becomes $50k after expenses.  A net salary of $50k does not go far living in city, and really is not terribly much anywhere!  Especially considering the risk that ladies take.  

You also forgot to take into account weeks off for vacation, illness, aunt flow.  No health or dental benefits, savings/retirement, etc.

As far as costs of visiting being about the same about anywhere?  (Besides disagreeing, as I have toured other cities as well... everything is higher here - Eros ads, hotels, food, etc.)  Even so, that would be true only in the major metropolitan regions, and those are the areas where most ladies tour, and where prices are highest.  Not many ladies choose to tour Butte, Montana
