Several "collectives" that featured FBSM from young American GND and hipster types seem to have disappeared at once -- in early June. One had a location in Chelsea and another in the E. 60s. A second was located in the east 50s. A third was located in the east 70s.
Seems an odd coincidence. Anyone know what happened?
The providers all rotated among these locations, so I think it's safe to say they were run by the same person. I had mixed experiences so not sure whether I miss them yet or not.
Who has resurfaced? Meanwhile 2 or 3 places still closed and a number of girls are mia. E.g. Conny & Halston. Also the closed joints seemed to keep detailed records. This could be interesting.
I can't attest to what happened to these establishments. I haven't heard of any raids or anything like that. What I can say is that this industry is extremely volatile, subject to rapid change. People often come, set up shop and leave without any trace. I'm sorry if you lost some of your favorite providers this way.
