Any suggestions for a short stay hotel in manhattan - preferrably in midtown area?

Besides Liberty Inn, there's St Marks Hotel off St. Marks Ave., East Village ( East 8th?).  There's a few smaller midtown hotels that might do short stay but I can't think of one.  Maybe... google & location desired.

From what I've heard the St. Marks no longer offers short stays...

La Semana is only $98 for all nite, that's only a bit more than the "short stay" places.  It specializes in "romantic rendevouz".  LOL
