I've been running my own 'secret' contest these past days...

Seeing these last few days how the local gentry has taken up the cause of denegrating the fun NY Confidentials contests, making something fun more of an annoyance to the winner and the agency, and looking a proverbial gift horse up between the rules, and seeing how very well and bright many can go and repeat the rules..(fascinating stuff), I had decided yesterday morning to hold my own 'secret' contest.

I had secretly decided that whomever was able to congratulate me in a manner most gentlemanly, the poster who had the most class regarding my winnings, and who posted their congratulations in a manner I liked the most, by the end of Thursday,........I would pass my award onto.

That winner is Hueyfan! You are the true winner this week, and you get to take home my prize. Your true congratulations was honest, and simple (VonRyan came in a close second)

Maybe in this way we can see that you DO get more with gentlemanly class than with whining and complaining ( some of you dudes have wayyyyy too much time on your hands lol). This includes annoying the agency ( I have yet to speak to them, but I can only imagine their cringing at all of the 'rules' post).

I was waiting for a Sierra Madre reference of someone sayiing 'I don need to show you anne stinkin' badges!'

BTW, I hear what your saying about the contests.I find it to be plenty of fun and in that light we shouldn't take it too seriously.I also commend NY CONFI on putting them on. It would great to see others follow suit.It perks up this discussion board.

Good show, Panther!  Are you, for some reason, unable to fulfill the duties and obligations required of the winner?  This isn't a Vanessa Williams / Miss America situation is it? :) And congrats to Huey as well!

Nope, since you are an inquiring mind...I'm fully capable, and all systems go.

I just thought that a nice gesture would be like a salve on the rampant spread of knuckelhead syndrom that seems to be going around regarding this great contest. *listening to hacks and coughs in the background*.

Hopefully this will stem the tide, and as I say....

.....SHADDUP SITTDOWN might even be needed for a full cure.

What else do you need to know?

one good turn deserves another. I am most impressed myself. Panther is a great hobbiest indeed and much deserved to win this contest. The turn it over to someone who posted something NICE was very conciderate on his behalf. Not too many people would do the same. I may concider such a contest myself, but you never know. As Panther himself knows, if you treat a person good and with respect, you get the same in return, I suppose this was his purpose in turning over the prize. Keep this in mind guys when posting on the boards.

Panther that was really awsome of you. There is so much back biting and jealousy it gets sickening at times. I learned along time ago that you can't please all the people all the time so I mind as well please myself. Good for you! I am very sad that I missed you and many others on Fri.
