Beware the newbie provider with a few "rave" reviews. Newbie providers may become like AMP's--phony reviews to get the ball rolling before they are swamped by negative reviews.
Prior to the LE busts, an indie started with a knwonw agency, learnt the "tricks of the trade" if you will, was winnowed out from the agency if subpar, and then moved out on her own. Like Celine and AngieRenee, two of the best. With that route of building up a clientel and a reputation foreclosed, you will see many newbie providers posting on craigslist and websites. Accordingly, there will be a premium for "known" providers. And many, many disappointed and unhappy hobbyists who will try an unknown and have a miserable time.
The good news is: Providers will stick to known customers, because LE will readily bust indies who get to well-known, as has been happening.
The wonders of the free market in the greatest city in the world.
wtf does this mean "I have alway been indy with the expection of 4 days reaseach at tfl...." seems like our new golden girl has been nipping at the cooking sherry...
Although, is working for TFL kinda like being a cannibal? You don't have to eat human body parts three times a day to be called a cannibal. Once is enough.
Its a bit of a catch-22. Since the agencies are being busted, coventional wisdom says to go to indies. The suggested means for finding a good indie is one who is well-reviewed on theses pages, which sounds like the kind of indie you now suggest may be targeted by LE. Since Julie's bust, I've been researching the indies and am ready to hobby with two very well regarded ones? Am I walking into a LE trap? PM me the indies you think may be shining to brightly for LE.
because how indies can be LE traps???? If an indie get busted the only person indicted is herself. No one can bust on your hotel room just because you're there with someone. Unless that "someone" is a cop you booked because you didn't screen. She will be taken to the station, booked, summoned in court to pay a fine and she will be back to her own life again. I don't see why LE would use an indie to trap people...doesn't make any sense and is a waste of task force and tax payers money. Now, agencies are a FELONY, in more ways than one...that's a fact.
