To the OP...care to share the source of your discontent or should we just assume you had a bad day?

Nothing is the way it was ......

The future ain't what it used to be.   :)

...that should tell you all you need to know...

I grew up in the 70s visiting NYC with my buds almost every weekend. Times Square really skeeved me out. Mentally ill hobos, porno theaters full of raincoated old guys, three card monty dealers. Not something I want to go back to.

Forgot to mention the guys shoving CDs to your face, homeless and all the other shady people blocking the area.
Ohhhh and the Desnudas lol - maybe a male version will appear soon!
Times Sq will continue to be seedy, we just have different kind of seedy people hustling anyone who dare to pass by

How slow it has been since after the holidays. This is normal and happens very yer some years not as bad as others but none the less normal.

You have to keep in mind it doesn't go back to normal till after Easter. It is season from after Christmas till after Easter. Many head South for Winter and you notice a drastic drop in business because they are the group that has more expendable income.

Those left are hard working family men that have to prioritize their income coupled with after holidays and usually only can hobby once a month or every few months. Their contribution is still very important specially during season.

So it isn't New York it is every where, New York is one of the best cities and top markets for this hobby,
It will be back to business as normal soon. Hope that brightens your day and gives you better days to look forward to :-)

It is hump day get humping!

Wishing everyone a very lovely day

Ah, for the good old days! Green pastures, no automobile, bus and truck pollution, no skyscrapers blocking out the sky, ...

But even J&R Music World is gone!  Sic Transit Gloria Mundi.
