Short Stay in NYC

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a decent short stay hotel in NYC?

Thanks!

Because LE reads this board and you are just telling them where to look.  It's much safer to share this info via PM.

The Pod is by far the most affordable hotel in the city. It's a European Style boutique hotel which means not all rooms have private baths. There are rooms with baths in them. You just have to make sure you're booking the right room. The hotel was renovated and modernized around 6 years ago so your good there. There's a rooftop garden which is awesome and great restaurants downstairs and close by. The down side is that it can be a little noisy and that the sheets aren't 400 thread count.

A super cute place I stayed recently with outstanding views of the city was at the Z Hotel in Long Island City. Take NOTE - Z Hotel is across the 59th Street Bridge and not in Manhattan. I used to live in the area so understood how convenient it is. THE PLUS (besides the stellar – and I do mean stellar) is that the hotel offers a shuttle back and forth to the city every 30 minutes. SOOOO if you're able to assure your NYC friends that they won't end up in Tim Buc Tu and can get them to venture across the bridge they'll pretty much get door to door service for free on the shuttle. A cab across takes maybe 5 minutes?? The room fee was less than 200 a night and the sheets are soft. ; )

My third suggestion would be the brand new Springhill Suites in Midtown. Just opened in May. AWESOME! Modern furnishings, mini fridge in the room, ipod player in the room and opening windows for fresh air!!! A little more $$ than the other two but still priced less than most Manhattan properties.

Good luck lovely and PM me if you need suggestions for other places to tour in the area to boost your income and to save you $$.

xoxo Love Laney!!

The famous city in Africa is Timbuktu (or Timbuktoo or Timbuctoo) but there are other variations, including Tim Buck Two.

I googled how to spell Timbuktoo. Guess the American version of the spelling came up. ; )
