That can be true and on global scale. There are just few cities in the world where quality of the food is same as in NYC NYC even in JFK meets you with smell of fresh baked pizza and cheese cake So I think all cities just dines out ( when not hobbying of course ) Let"s share your favorite world wide cities with best kitchen? I think the best food cities in this country at least besides NYC of course would be San Francisco and New Orleans. Not that cities like Chicago, Boston and LA among others don't have some great restaurants, but NYC, SF and NOLA, just stand out above the rest as dining destinations IMO.
Internationally, I would have to put Hong Kong at the top of my list.
