I would not tip ANY provider who does not provide as expected.  That said, I WILL TIP ANY provider that goes to any length to make sure that she has a satisfied customer.  The girls that work for agencies do have to split the fee but that's their choice of how to conduct business.  I treta Agency and independent providers the same way, and tip them by the same set of rules.  And I will ALWAYS TIP that provider that goes that extra step to make me a happy client.

I think everyone would have a different opinion, but I *WOULD* tip a girl from an agency (assuming the service was as expected), as not only does she share the fee with the firm, but she as the standard practice of tipping goes, you tip service EMPLOYEES but not the OWNER (in fact, it is considered a tad gauche to do so). I realize the analogy is a bit of a reach, but it is also my logic for dealing with independents....no tip, unless the service was EXTRAORDINARY. So far this has been only once...and really it was because I thought the service was provided at a fee which represented an EXCELLENT value, in addition to being above and beyond the call, so with the tip it came to "the going rate".

However, since we are talking about personal interactions, and I would like to think of myself as a gentleman on SOME level (not much of one mind you...given that I am a "hobbyist" with a steady GF, but hey, I never claimed to be a saint...) I do try to do SOMETHING a little extra for independents. I typically try to arrange transportation from my place back to theirs (I only do outcall when I am in my home city) since I have access to a car service. All the ladies I have spent time with have expressed great gratitude for this. This probably comes to the same amount as a "tip" would be...but I feel better about it somehow...versus paying more than I agreed for services that were only what was agreed too.

I have seen ads / webpages for Independents that seem to encourage tipping, and in fact once had a provider who I would be generous to describe as "average" in appearance (at least as far as *I* am concerned....my GF is both more fit and better looking) and whose base rate was somewhat expensive based on both the market and her quality of looks, directly inform me to "remember, tips are a good thing". I avoid such providers as I am NOT interested in getting into a debate about money for illegal services in my home (sounds too much like a drug deal gone bad for me, and I don't need my fellow residents' curiosity aroused), and suggest you do the same.
