Thank you to everybody for your feedback.  Now, to explain the rates.  I am not at all familiar with the NYC market place and sought the opinions of some American clients of mine and also of other Americans I know who use escorts but are not clients.  The advice given was that Caprice and I should charge between $800-$1000.

Obviously, the opinion here is that this is too expensive and we may well reconsider if we do not get more bookings than we have at the moment.  However, I would like to dispel any notion that we see coming to the 'big city' as a way to make a killing.  We are both looking forward to come to NYC for a chance to see the city and for do some work at the same time.  We have to cover the costs of flights and hotel rooms so must charge more than our London rates.  The last time I used dollars to buy sterling the rate was $1.69/£1 so $500 is only what we charge here.  To make the trip worthwhile we therefore have to charge a higher rate.  We are not coming to NYC to provide a production line service as that is not how we operate.  We'd prefer to see fewer clients for a higher rate.

I hope this clarifies things for everybody who has wondered about the higher rate.

Kudos on that one...and also please explain why you are worth your asking price to begin with. Heck there are hundreds of providers here in NYC that are around 350 that rock, I dont see what could be so special about her or any provider for more than 350 an hour for that matter.

I've been wanting to see Carrie for a long time and kept inquiring with her agency if she'd make a trip to NY for an extended visit. I finally found out that she would be coming here earlier this week, but was highly disappointed to find out the rate. This girl is exactly my type and her reviews have been amazing, but there is no way I can pay those prices when there are great providers in New York for hundreds less. I really hope she reconsiders her price because I would see her in a heartbeat if the rate was reasonable. I travel to London quite a bit. While I have never been with eiher Carrie or Caprice they do get rave reviews on London boards. However, in London they charge 350 pounds about 500 p/h. Certainly they are worth that same amount here. My advice to them both is to get real. In NYC you can get a Porn Star for 1,000 p/h. Cotton Candy is offering it up for $650. Pls. ladies just because you travel across the pond, and you have incresed expenses pls. do not think that you are worth that kind of money. You need to reconsider and I am sure you will have a full schedule for what a top US provider gets which is $500 p/h.

I am pleased to see the responses posted herein. There seems to be a prevailing notion that any provider can come to the "big city", make a killing and go home with a bag o’money. Let it be known, it may have been that way a few years ago but, that’s over. Many factors have contributed to this, primarily  9/11 and I think the proliferation of information via the Internet.
We love and welcome visiting providers, take an example from the likes of Shauna; do your homework and price accordingly to fair market value. You will find that priced accordingly NY is still a very good market for both clients and providers. It’s good ol’ American capitalism at it’s best, fueled by supply and demand.
