The best way is to screen well and speak with them on the phone prior to meeting to get a feel out about the type of man they are and if you can compliment each other.

Real hobbyists have NO problem giving their information. It's only the "bad" guys and ones with over inflated egos who demand freebies for shilling or threats of bad reviews (again..... bad guys) that have any problem with screening.

I've received some messages from a stalker that he's gonna tip the cops on me.
I do a lot of incall and never have any problems. First of all would the cops in Manhattan even bother with an independent like me?
Would it be enough to tell them on the phone to let me see the money when they get here without me asking?
If I don't ask for it I'd be safe right?

First, don't get intimidated by a guy saying he's calling the cops on you. Unless he knows your real name and where you live, you should not be concerned. Getting hate mails or disgruntled clients (because they didn't get "their" way on things) is part of this "job".
Second, NEVER discuss ANY money issues on the phone. Cops records your conversation, so even if you discuss ONLY on the phone and do not touch the subject when your "cop client" arrive, you're still fried. Is your word against theirs and you know who wins in this situation. Money issues should never be discussed. That's why we have websites listing ALL the information a potential client needs.
Third, you never safe unless you screen screen screen VERY well.
Good luck!!!

Thanks. Good info to keep in mind. I keep getting more and more tight on people. If I loose someone because they do not want to give info to verify then I loose.
Really I win, we all do actually. If we all keep a tight screening process then we have a better chance of staying safe. Using the b/c to go other routes of communication is great for providers to help each other out.
It keeps our friends safe and all of this side as well.

Thanks for having me.

Of course incall vs outcall has been a topic forever. It's really no different than outcall. Monies are out in plain view..

Practice good screening .. ALL THE TIME.. monies should never be mentioned on the phone.. or off.. As said, Its on your site.. If it isnt.. Put it somewhere. Do not speak over it in any means. For incall, let them know how and where to leave your donation for your local charity.. or " your gift should be left on my dining table while I excuse myself to get you a refreshment. Always make sure they know wherever to leave your gift. Sometimes a nervous first timer will forget and get caught up in idle chit chatter. Simply give him a sinful look and tap your finger on the table and give him a wink.. hahhaha.. *it works*

Being from a small city , I get many phone calls " my friend saw you, so i want to see you too, how much do you charge " I simply tell them either they have the wrong number or if they saw my friend, then they'd know how much.

Due to recent  scares EVERYWHERE.. Just screen.. no questions about it.. do not be desperate over a little  200-300 dollars ( whatever it is) your life and repution is worth a WHOLE lot more than a few hundred dollars. As another girl from Ohio quoted recently..."no girl should be pennyless in this business, If you are.. you are doing something wrong. "

Remember you are not only putting yourself in jeopardy when you do not practice safe methods. You are putting other girls in jeopardy when you do not.

As for someone knowing your REAL name.. I'd say it is someone angry or jealous. But still lay off on having MANY visitors coming to your house for a few weeks..Or have them park cars on next street over, basically, not near your home. Have them bring in a breifcase, a large manilla envelope, a file folder. Anything that would be dubbed as business like. In passing when talking with neighbors and such.. Let them know you have a business, writer, designer ..something of the like.

As I always say.. this is what works for me, not everyone.

Safety in numbers I say..

wants to keep their privacy are bad or have evil intentions. Not all knows about the boards and sometimes they are just hopping around the internet when they find the girls site in some obscure ways.
Rule # number on any internet contact is not ever give your real information. So, they are careful and skeptical when they are getting in touch for information.
It happens to me all the time, guys always find me in places I never heard about.
They don't know the 10 basic rules of hobbying, so I explain how it goes, direct them to TER/TBD/UG for my reviews and tell them how to surf my site for the information they need about me.
Speaking to a guy on the phone does not give you a feel about the type of the man he is. A seasoned scam artist, rapist or a cop knows how to make themselves "sound" believable and that's when a girl fall into their traps.
Screening is the best process...If I lose 300 bucks oh well. Is much better than lose few thousand in legal fees and few days in jail.
Unless is a big case like Julies, guys do no have to worry about giving their basic information to a known indie girl. Even if she gets busted, cops will not waste their time and public funds on it.

I had the same situation happen not to long ago....first of all if he brings attention to you.....he also brings attention to himself. I have found that threats are usually a scare tactic for some really disturbed people to get what they want.
If you are sure to check references and personal info.....you are a lot safer in any situation. Don't let him intimidate you. Most people in this hobby are not that way.

If an undercover is asked if he or she is a cop, there is no question that they can lie.

I'm sorry but this is a myth. I'm not sure where it started but it seems to be a universal misunderstanding.
If a cop is undercover he can tell you he's Kermit the Frog if he wants to. (It will stand up in court)
