Just like you guys have your atfs or ladies that you like more.. Us ladies have the same. It is human nature..

That being said, we should all be honest with ourselves and never forget..

This is about fun. To have fun one must be safe. To be safe referrals are necessary.

I have never been angry that a guy asked for a referral. :)

Am an agency boy by history but started recently down the Indy path...Was putting out some feelers and found a provider who asked for references. That's no problem but is it commonplace for Indy's to contact your references? If so, don't you feel uncomfortable seeing the person they contacted after they contacted them?
Just curious...many years in the hobby but really new to this verification process....I mean in the past the few I might have had called me at my office through the switchboard.  
and ladies I know it's for your safety so PLEASE DON'T JUMP ALL OVER ME!!!  
I am just saying a provider contacts you about someone you have seen or are seeing about a verification don't you feel different about that client the next time he calls you?

Why would how a provider feels about your having given her name for verification? This hobby is not about how a provider feels but very simply how you feel. That's what you're paying for, isn't it? In fact, if I were a provider, I would be flattered that notwithstanding your seeing other providers, you have come back to me.
Some of my regular providers have referred their associates to me and that has in no way affected the grat rapport had with them. So be it

flattered yes...if you came back...unfortunately there are many hobby'ists that see a woman once and rarely if ever come back...
I would have preferred if they contacted another member. In fact you saw this woman. We have had contact a number of times over the many years you and I have been in this hobby and you actually have my real life email. Why couldn't another member verify me. I am sure you would have vouched for me, or maybe not.
I am just saying that human nature if I were the one being asked I would be slightly hurt. And as always it is about us. I am just thinking that there should be a holder of records on this Globally popular board and being a verified member should be enough. But obviously asshole clients would not be outed as we only review women on this board and not vice versa.
Happy Hobbying my brother...I may just stay with an agency that has known me for many years than made to feel uncomfortable about this verification process...thanks

As it is the only way the women here can vouch for a safe experience with a client is by contacting other ladies privately.

People change all the time and an up to date read based on others experiences is the best info they can get in order to make a decision to see someone.

References makes sense.

and I am sorry I didn't mean to say you get angry. did I say that? I am trying to be out a point that in your quest to say who is okay to see, and it is important to screen, that your feelings are slightly hurt.  
Like you say we all have out ATF's...so I am saying that you give your all to an ATF and then "pow" another provider contacts you for a reference on him. You are going to tell me that your ego doesn't take a small blow to the stomach? Really? Putting myself in that position I would be hurt

I get your explanations! Maybe it doesn't bother you cause you're heartless? it's part of the business...so if you have to hide your feelings that is fine...I guess it is the emotional detachment that goes with the business....
