Most ladies have the most self-defeating marketing strategy of anyone in any business I've ever seen.
I was discussing the price issue with a provider. She charges $300 because if she charged less, more undesirable clients would show up (those who are dirty or rough or drunk, etc). That's why she would never reduce her price. She is constantly rated 8 or higher here.
I wonder if other providers agree with it.
The actual dollar amount can be debated but that's not your
point (or at least I don't think it is).

An interesting point. However, for incall agencies--like Julies--the presence of a doorman/telephoneman/security and a "madame" on the premises who check out "newbies" and ban repeat customers who are trouble-makers would argue against that. We really need an indepth analysis by our own Alexia who can reveal the economics of the sex industry: how much is the "take" for an incall; how many customers does an independent have to see each week to get the guaranteed draw of incall; what are the demand curves for professional sex services; how does this correlate to the price of the sex service versus increase in the GDP? I could easily invision a PhD thesis or two on this subject.
Interestingly enough, the private stock of Julies girls at $250 compares quite favorably with most $400+ outcall agencies or independents in terms of looks and skill. Why is this so? Is it so?
I was told by a provider in the 500+ range that she raised her rates to weed out the undesireables.
If she is making as much money as she needs or wants, then she should not lower her price. If she should discover that she is not making enough, and thinks that lowering her price will bring in more customers, than she should do so.
I agree with Sonny, more time would be a motivation to more business even if it was with just with repeat clients. Incentives will always lead to more business.
I have yet to find that however in this hobby. However giving, accomodating or how many times you've seen her, business is business, times up and she's gone.
Part of what you're paying for??? When all is said and done, we LEAVE. We do not stick around, want to get married and bear your children, or start stalking you and making you deal with our PMS. If you wanted someone to stay, why not get a girlfriend?

A provider I know pretty well did a spring season special price when business was down. It definitely brought in more customers, both locals and out of town outcalls. The quality of the customer did not deteriorate with the lower price. The idea that a lower price attracts the dregs of the male species is a myth. It attracts MORE men of comparable economic status as $300 customers. But the higher quantity of work -- having sex with 3-4 men a day at the lower rate -- can test a providers stamina. Personally, I wouldn't mind having sex with 3-4 women a day for days on end, to see how my stamina holds out. As it turns out, this provder netted out MUCH MUCH more money at the lower rate. And her service was just as good, so it worked for her.
That you think you know so much about our business... I mean... you are not an escort, are you?
And it's in your best interests for us to lower our rates and let you stay longer, right???
*sigh*
Best,
Tamara

It is not just stamina- One's body can only take so much prodding no matter how well lubricated. A girl has to maintain her health so that she can continue to offer good service. A higher rate with fewer clients will in the best of situations equal out in the end financially. Do you really want to be guy number seven -that day?
Hey its the M O N E Y ........more is better. Dirt bags can have money to. If it was me I would charge as much as could get Dimedog is right on the money LOL
As an extension of the topic, bigger discounts for multiple hours would be helpful to us. I have been fortunate in that this has never been a problem for me. I now am choosing multiple hours dates. I have found them to be much nicer.
Just a thought.
A $100 fee difference does not determine if a client is dirty, rough or drunk.
Greetings,
Some gentlemen view the escort malls/boards as expedia and are just looking for the most inexpensive flight to get to the point B.
From past experiences, I beleive that many gentlemen seeking a $200hr. session are usually not looking for a GFE session. I beleive that the price difference is in the overall service. Many times you are more less guaranteed to a good flight( clean and upscale plane, great food, great service, being waited on hands and knees) with a reputable airline.
However, I did learn for this post, I will be offering an extra half/hour to my regular session.
Kisses

As someone metioned above, a prime reason for PAYING escorts is that they'll go away when you're done. Sometimes price has effects is a little more complicated than the purveyors of economics 101 believe. As a consumer of escort services, would you be willing to take a risk w/ someone charging, say $50? A certain price, say $300, might implicitly promise you at a minimum a lady who's clean, professionally affable, moderately attractive, and not every Tom Dick and Harry's mattress.
A $300 or higher price might also provide psychological comfort to the provider as well, allowing her to feel she's classy, professional--a courtesan and not a whore; one who merits courtesy and care. A hobbiest, picking up on this, might treat the escort accordingly, even one who might not be predisposed to so treat "cheaper" girls.
I'm sure some price threshold weeds out many (never all) undesirables. Whether it's three hundred or some other higher (or lower) figure is an empirical question. Nevertheless, higher price correlates with older clients, and it well established that the younger the guy, the higher the risk.
Still, the fees some escorts ask for as so hight they're laughable. God bless them for their pretensions, butI'm reminded of a peanuts cartoon: Charlie is selling lemonade at $10 a glass. Lucy askes if that not an awfully expensive price for lemonade. Charlie answers "Yeah....but all I need to sell is one glass!" After all, The macDonalds crowd might not be low lives, dangerous, or dirty, but the escort might want those who frequent higher priced restaurants. Put another way, som escorts might prefer Barney's to Syms.
Which suggests a solution, rather than price, as a way of weeding "undesirables." In their ads, Escorts might simply demand: "Gentleman must wear jackets!"
