I left several messages on your voicemail asking for a client reference and you haven't returned my calls.  I finally had to ask him for another name.

He was absolutely baffled and wondered why you didn't give a reference of him. I told him you didn't like him (just kidding).. actually, I said I didn't know and thought it was very unprofessional.  

You might want to put a clause inside your website letting your clients know not to use you as their reference.

I have no problem giving references. I ask for them myself so of course I would give them.

Are you sure you called the correct number? I dont usual get calls from ladies, since thats my work number, so I KNOW I would recall if you had left me a message.

We all have to look out for each other and giving references is a very important way of doing that!!

Not true,
This whole reference thing amongst you ladies is not working out period!
I have tried to get references for and from providers and the timings are not ever right or I have to refer to giving deposits or meeting them for coffee. Especially in Florida.
The last lady I tried was in Atlanta and when I went to Florida and asked to use her as a reference -no way in hell. Even after plenty of attempts. The she had the balls to deny it! That is downright mean and yes, very unprofessional on you ladies' behalf. I know it is tough but for crying out loud at least learn how to network yourselves properly.

Bolted, I am sorry it hasnt worked out for you. For many references do work out and it really helps us to know that we are meeting someone who is safe. Please do not assume I dont give out references, or that I am unprofessional. I assure you I have responded to many references and I have no problem letting a lady know if the client she is about to meet, who used me as a reference, is safe or a stand up guy.
Tygrily and I have spoken. Some how her messages did not get to me.

You are entitled to defend yourself and I really don't blame you but it really is frustrating and annoying when ladies do that for whatever reason
My experience if you must know, she goes by A....of Atlanta, you can figure out the blanks for yourself.
Sorry but the next time I have to use her as a reference, I will look elsewhere.
Simple FYI, noone is that busy to answer the phone or to return a call.
I have met other quality ladies since that time and I will use them instead.
