Clearly those of us in the know, know that the Ashley Taylor's, Elizabeth's, Brynn's etc. are first ladies regardless of fake reviews. I agree that there should be some red flag that goes up but with this much activity things are bound to go unnoticed.
that you could monitor the reviews that are submitted for both Elizabeth Love and Ashley Taylor? I know that you must approve at least 100 reviews a day, but I think all of us would consider that a favor. I don't know if it is possible for you to do that, but if you could weed out the fake reviews I think it would make everyone's life easier. Whoever is posting these stupid reviews would probably stop if they were not getting approved(or at least I hope they would). Thanks in advance.
I think these individual's who were involved get the idea that this system works and false reviews will not be tolerated. It must take a very sick mind to do what was done. My thanks to Staff, Kim from Belledejour and all those supporters who helped in righting a wrong.
too tedious given the volume of info STAFF is repsonsible for each day. Is there anything MORE all of us can do to assist in monitoring these sorts of reviews? We all seem to have a special place in our hearts for Elizabeth and Ashley. But bad reviews affect all providers. It's just possible that what we're doing is all that it actually takes. That is, when a provider lets us know of a potentially 'bogus' review, we all get involved. That seems to do the trick as well.
The way our system works, we really cannot "watch" a particular provider. We get in over 500 reviews a day at TER, not to mention over 1000 emails and 300 problem reports.
I know that you must vet all reviews before they are posted or they would post immediately. There should be a system in place that can help ferret out the bogus reviews before they are posted.
For example, a computer program should be able to pick up a review which grades far out of line from all past reviews. If not, it can be done by sight. But a red flag should be raised when a provider has all 8s and 9s and a new reviewer gives a 5 or less.
Similarly, you should be on the lookout for reviews that are out of sync when they are posted about a highly reviewed out-of-town provider. I infer that this is what happened to Ashley and Elizabeth when they went to Philadelphia.
And of course, if a reviewer says that a provider refuses basic services which all other reviewers received, this should also raise a red flag.
I do not mean to criticize TER unduly. You render a valuable service to those of us who use and rely upon it. But the providers are in a business, and no business should be maligned without basis.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feels that this board is being run lately by the few inner circle of posters? I mean c'mon now, if the staff starts to delete every less glowing reviews of your favorite providers, and all we see on the board are the "kissing up" of these providers, do you think that carries more credibility? We, the rest of the readers, lurkers, whatever you want to call us, are not stupid. We can judge what's fake and what's not on our own when we are reading upon a particular provider. If few popular posters start to dictate what can be writen and what can not, pretty soon we will have fake "glowing" reviews instead of fake "bad" reviews, if you know what I mean. I am not saying that fake reviews are tolerable, but all I am saying is that it's just part of this game. Let's try not to take it so seriously, and let each judge his own decision when reading the reviews.
I don't consider myself one of the inner circle of posters, as you describe them, but I will respond nonetheless.
I wish it were so easy. If everyone were as discerning as you, the problem of bogus reviews would evaporate. But if you have ever spoken to a provider who has been savaged by a bogus review, you might feel different. The providers take these reviews most seriously, both because they are personal affronts and they may--and the providers believe they will--affect their business.
All I have heard any of us who have complained about bogus reviews say is that TER should be vigilant in posting only the truth. No one can argue with that.
