I woke-up at 3pm and knew something bad had happened when the honking outside got REAL loud. When I went out to the hallway to get an elevator, I saw the dark hallway and just went back into my apartment. I was stuck on the 18plus floor [hungry and thristy] looking out of my apartment at people going out-of-there minds running all over 6th Avenue. I put my bikini top on [because I'm big on tan lines] and talked to others on balconies. Today I went all out, bikini top and g-string- no one talked to me. It was sooo boring being stuck with no TV, cell phone, internet, no man and finding out I have no flashlight- it would have been nice to tell someone to walk down those stairs for a pepsi\food. Tomorrow I'm going out and buying one of those flashlight\radio\bull-horn thingys.
i was at penn station when the blackout happened: it was like experiencing 9/11 again: such panic, chaos ... our lives can be disrupted so easily. take away our computers, cars, cell-phones ... and where are we? what were u folks doing? what did u do after u reached home? steve
My office is on 35th and seventh...corner total view...I felt wjhat you felt...initial panic...but ATT cell phones worked and we quickly ascertained the truth...just another government/corporate screw up. I stayed over with with my boss and left through Penn today at noon. It is amazing...laptop, cell phone, digital camera, wifi, etc... none working. How could I forget a 30 dollar miniradio...I made it home today and had cosmos, went out for a nice dinner, and thought about Belle de Jour...I should just go for it.

WoW! luved that tan line and even better... those huge breasts behind the bikini top...unfortunately, I didn't have a bull horn either...the possibilities would have been erotically tremendous.
Yesterday, I posted a rather lengthy account of my Thursday odyssey on the national board. Rather than reposting it here, I'll just put the link below.
(Any of the New York regulars who thinks they recognize either of the ladies to whom I obliquely refer can send me a private message - though I make no promise that I will confirm or deny.)
