I thought I'd share an interesting post from the Boston board. The poster is well respected for his past research and for his history of contributing to the local hobby community.
I'm curious...do you find the same trend with EROS locally?
Eros needs to get it together. Many providers have complained about their customer service or lack there of. They often have turn around times of 6 or 7 days.
I've also noticed, as in Boston, the number of ads in NYC have increased almost three-fold in the past year. I would dare to say they're becoming a victim of there own success.
> I think a lot of street walkers are getting hip and getting hotel rooms and posting ads.
Very true, some of the girls I can recognize they used to be working under 59th St. Bridge on the Queens side. They used to charge $20 for bj and $100 for full at a motel. Now they charge from $200-$300.
Well, the answer to whether I see this trend is "no." But, the only reason I don't see the trend is that the NY EROS Board has always (at least as long as I've been looking at it) had a much lower standard. Without doing the numbers, many, many (most?) of the posts are outright fakes or have other problems such as lack of reviews. The ads with: (1) genuine pictures of (2) good providers with (3) reliable reviews are definitely in the minority. And, if you look in the "Independent" category, you'll see quite a few agency ads.
That is why it is always good to check out the boards to see if the girl in question has reviews. Also having good backchannel friends that alert you when good quality girls are coming our way is also a plus. I use EROS as a guide to what is out there. You must do your homework before seeing any escort. Clearly, EROS has many ads that may not be legit, but they are pretty easy to figure out.
I took my ad down for 8 months so it was a great experiment to place a new ad recently (under my same name) with new photos to measure the activity it generates. Based on the lack of response to the "whats new" page and updated photos I would have to say that fewer and fewer people are shopping on Eros.
This has been a topic I have long been interested in and am discouraged by the current lack of resources providers have. I found a new site called www.thehushzone.com that seems to be doing a pretty good job. Providers can manage their own accounts and photo updates as its a dynamic portal site. The look and feel is slick and professional. I'd LOVE to see a new trend begin!
