I am sure that the want the names of the Johns that saw the teens, especially if Julie turns and finger them as gents that loved that type of sex. If they are going to nail Julie for the crimes that they allege she did, they will have to get their hands on some of the men that had the girls to maintain public support for the prosecution. It should be relatively easy for a trap to be set since men that prefer a particular type of female go to that well often.

As a former law student, though not a licensed attorney (underachiever? You bet!) I am familiar with the concept of selective prosecution in criminal law. The idea is something like LE can’t arrest everyone breaking the law, so a few high profile cases serve to put everyone on notice. Maybe this was the case with the recent busts?

3 terrible things the business should have no part of.

1-*UNDERAGE GIRLS*
2- BROTHELS!
3-*DRUGS*

These are the elements that draws LE attention
PERIOD!

NYC is a great city and it has respect, but if you disrespect it and violate the 3 numbers above you are only asking for trouble.

Just my 2 cents.

I support the idea of discreet incall places that don't bother neighbors.  The best location for these is buildings like they use for AMPs, where complaints are unlikely.

Switching to an all-indy business is unreasonable.

I do not think that there will be many locations where an operator can do a "quite" incall any longer. Even if some high dollar John partakes of the hobby everyday, he is going to raise hell if an incall shows up in his condo building, across the street or down the block from it. His rationale of course would be that he does not want his kids exposed to what goes on there. Go figure.

The busts are not over. The next phase of busts will be of Johns, particularly those that did the girls that Julie allegedly had working. Time is on the cops side and they surely recognize that. The big reason why time is on the cops side is that they have Julie in lockup. A plea for money to assist her defense supposedly was posted for Julie, but given the clientele that her business predominantly served, I expect that plea to fall on deaf ears. Once Julie realizes that there will not be cab caravan of Johns stopping off at her lawyer's office to drop a hundred or two into her defense fund, she is going to roll and start giving up names to minimize the time that she will have to serve. The situation will snowball from there and the cops will get busy picking up the Johns that may have seen one of Julie's real girls.

Julie giving up names of Johns will do neither her nor law enforcement any good.  In order to arrest a John, LE must catch him in the act of soliciting an act of prostitution.  The legal standard is beyond a reasonable doubt.  A provider or a madam saying a John paid for sex without independent corroboration is useless and no prosecutor would try to bring a case on that basis.  How would they know whether you received a legal massage or something more.  Prosecutors are judged by how many cases they win.  They want nothing to do with the word of a criminal against the word of a working member of the community.

I am sure that the want the names of the Johns that saw the teens, especially if Julie turns and finger them as gents that loved that type of sex. If they are going to nail Julie for the crimes that they allege she did, they will have to get their hands on some of the men that had the girls to maintain public support for the prosecution. I will never believe Julie used underage girls but if she did all they need is the testimony of the girl.  If they arrest the Johns in a sting with any of the "overage" Julie's girls, no way will any of them admit to seeing an underage girl, that is statutory rape, a very serious felony.  If the underage girl identifies the Johns they saw, that would be enough so why  bother with a "sting" to trap the Johns.  I cannot imagine anyone that saw an underage girl at Julie's would be stupid enough to go see that same girl again.   Seeing another former Julie's provider would prove nothing about the underage girl.

Don't New York's finest have anything better to do?  Aren't there rapists, muggers and drug dealers that pose a greater threat to society?

Just a comment from the Boston board.

Have we forgotten.. no just LE has. Terrorists are just way too smart for them.We should never forget the worst thing that ever happened in US history. It still makes me shiver when I think of that time.

EOM means End of Message, what are you doing reading this.

There are LE agencies that believe terrorists cells have fronted agencies for the purpose of maintaining a steady cash flow to fund their nefarious projects.
