END OF MESSAGE

I was wondering why a bunch of AMPs locked their Twitter accounts and took down, changed the URLs to and/or added password-protection to their web sites in the past few days. Hopefully this is just a temporary hiccup and the busybodies who are initiating this nonsense will move on in the near future.

What is a DOB violation? To me, DOB is DoB is Date of Birth implying UNDERage participants trying to pass as older. Usually at AMPs, it's older ladies trying to pass as younger and they NEVER get arrested for that.

DOH! That is not an abbreviation. That is an exclamation of sudden realization.
DOB = DoB = NYC Department of Buildings.

Manhattan has effectively decriminalized prostitution so I don’t think there’s much cause for concern for customers: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/21/nyregion/manhattan-to-stop-prosecuting-prostitution.html

I’m guessing that someone who doesn’t like sex work is just abusing NYC’s sprawling regulatory bureaucracy to harass massage parlors by filing building code violations complaints against them. It sucks that some MPs might get fines because of this bullshit but I can’t see how it puts customers in any jeopardy (other than maybe driving up prices depending on how steep the fines are).

I remember  last year when the fire department showed up at one of the popular spas in midtown. Suspect competition trying to put each other out of business by reporting, doubt it’s the customers or LE.Manhattan DA has declined to pursue or initiate arrests/suits against   any clients for sex work.

Anyone know what KIND of violations we’re talking about?

“BBG” would appear to be operating in a district/zone that allows BUSINESSES to operate, and aside from a MOLDY carpet, I can’t (with a layperson’s eye, of course) envision any OBVIOUS or blatant building code violations.

The NYC building codes are hundreds of pages so who knows. If I had to guess maybe having showers in what’s supposed to be an office?
