UN General Assembly Street Closures  
   
 There will be intermittent closures throughout the day from Tuesday, September 17 through Friday, September 27 because of the UN General Assembly session at the following locations:  
•Area bounded by East 60th Street on the north, East 34th Street on the south, 1st Avenue on the east, 3rd Avenue on the west, all inclusive  
•Area bounded by East 51st Street on the north and East 48th Street on the south;1st Avenue on the east and Madison Avenue on the west, all inclusive  
• 34th, 42nd, 50th and 57th Streets between FDR Drive and 7th Avenue  
• 51st, 54th and 56th Streets between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue  
• 52nd Street and 53rd Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue  
• 55th Street between 6th Avenue and Madison Avenue  
• 6th Avenue between 53rd Street and 55th Street  
 In addition, there will be intermittent closures on the FDR Drive between Whitehall Street and the Willis Avenue Bridge/RFK Bridge from Monday, September 23 through Friday, September 27.

Don't even think about driving below 60th street in Manhattan

Used to be 2 hell weeks, but the last couple years the first week is noticeably the real stinker.
