I am going to NYC in March, Can anyone recommend a nice hotel. The last 2 times I was in NYC  I stayed at The Gramercy Park Hotel. I really like that hotel but want to try something else.  Also a hotel that is friend to all my friends out there.

why cant you mention hotels on the board?

Because it has the potential to bring unwanted attention towards hobbists and clients. Please edit the hotel name out of your initial post.
