Thank you....and Congrats are making it through your ordeal!
Thanks, I appreciate yours and Leah's kind words and thoughts.  Continued good luck to you both -- PM if you want.

curious....have recently joined the Zipper Club (open heart surgery) I am wondering how many hobbyists are in a similar situation and how did hobbying go afterwards? By the way I was extremely lucky. The blockage was caught before a heart attack but that doesn't lessen the procedure. Just makes my heart still undamaged.
This is not a funny post. So if you feel like poking fun then please look elsewhere. I am certain I am not the only one in this predicament. So I just want to see how things went afterwards...Thanks guys...

Congrats on getting through it and continued good luck.

I haven't experienced cardiac issued, but I went through multiple cancer surgeries and chemo sessions some months ago, so I can sympathize.

I was very fortunate, I made a pretty complete recovery tho I don't think chemo ever leaves you unscathed, so I'm glad you didn't have to endure that.  But from what I understand you too should have a good chance of recovering fully, not sure what the diet/excercise restrictions you'll face are, if any and I hope they're minimal if you do have some.

It seems like it's either cardiac issues or cancer that take most of us.  And I agree that if anyone wants to poke fun about this subject, this isn't the thread for it.

Again, Good Luck!

Thank you....and Congrats are making it through your ordeal!

be sure to ask your doctor if you are healthy enough to resume sexual activities.

I am glad you are okay, and they found the problem before your heart was damaged!

I'm with stl6468 and dealt with the cancer ordeal. Multiple surgeries, chemo, and radiation are blah! I just talked to my doctor and worked with him until I made a full recovery. It's not embarrassing to talk to them about your sex life, don't have to give all the details, but enough to make sure you are healthy enough to resume. Also, it's okay to talk to us (providers) about your situation so whoever is aware and proceeds with caution.

Good luck on a full, speedy recovery! And remember to enjoy life!

Good to hear. Had my aortic valve replaced a few years ago. 2 days after the operation i asked the surgeon how soon i could have sex. He replied as soon as I was ready

Nicely done, congrats and continued good luck.

...depending on your previous exercise stamina and certain new factors. For ex, Some of the heart meds will make you feel more tired.

As someone said, your surgeon and general heart doctor should tell you what the recovery routine should be. Don't stress too much- life can be very active after surgery (with your doctor's help).

Disclaimer: not your doctor.
