Chances are the person on the other end of the line at an agency is an employee -- who only gets paid to answer the phone and ask for info.  Doing outbound calling and research?  Das not my job.  Not surprising visiting ladies took the trouble to check out your references -- they're owner/operators and want your business.  What do I think?  Indie girls give better service in all regards, IMHO.

LE targets agencies, not that an indie can't get nabbed too but for them when they do take a hit it's usually they just go in front of the judge and get time served unless they have a previous rap sheet. Yet, even that is more than I'd like to be put through  and I'm pretty sure I speak for most Indies when I say that!

For brothels and agencies especially the ones that advertise in print, like the village voice and such tend to be targeted simply because it is a better collar. PLUS they literally scan these papers and call right out of them. (This is a FACT, not an opinion)

Promotion of prostitution is a much heftier charge and if they get that far, that means they are nabbing everyone else in the house, so if you got 4-8 girls working that day not only does le have a pro of pros. charge but 4-8 collars for soliciting, not to mention any clients that might be there at the time, although they do mostly let the men go providing they are willing to testify in open court if it gets that far, it never usually does.

Admittedly when I was on  management side of things, we wanted a home number that was listed, or a work number that didnt get picked up by you. Not to mention that I was responsible for the girls that were working for me so I had to do my best to protect them.

As an Indie while it is very important to be careful and confirm, as long as I know of you or a provider can verify you a simple contact number is fine , even a cell. It's discussing services and $ that gets you and/or indies busted. Thank God, knock on wood, I have never had anything bad happen as an indie with LE or even with a client.

I took my hit (few years back while I was still on that end of things ) while running a place and had the phone girl Id'ed the guy properly the decoy would have never made it into the place.

Look at it like this: if they are verifying you, then you know the guy in the next room is also verified and not LE waiting to say the "code" word that brings the door coming down!  VERY very important in multi room brothels that service more than one client at a time.

Find a madam or agency (or 2-3) you trust and stick with them, this way you dont have to jump through hoops after the initial appointment.
