I've had several unique experiences as a hobbyist during my birthday week in early August.  One of the most amazing was celebrating the 30th anniversary of my first time getting laid almost four years back with my long-time ATF.  Needless to say, she was very excited about that, and allowed for more time that particular evening.   And, just last last year, after the disaster at the summer M&G, where I got blown off by someone from NYC I had seen several times before, I recovered a couple of nights later with a lady from California who blew my socks off.  She doesn't travel to NYC or east all that often, but....I do travel west, and my winter trip to Vegas was most memorable!

That being said, do what you want to do.  It is, after all, YOUR birthday...
