You can totally have fun in NYC! If you don't want to do it alone, you can always get one of the many beautiful ladies NYC has to offer to accompany you!

My favorite places are Chinatown and most of downtown. Chinatown makes me feel like I'm travelling and I love going into the Chinese herb shops. Most of downtown is fun and meat packing district is known for its nightlife and clubs. I'm partial maybe to Central Park, since I love nature so much. I like Harlem also with great international restaurants. My favorite Indian food is up in Harlem. The thing about NYC is EVERYTHING IS FOUND HERE. Its really about what YOU like, and whatever that is, you will find it here. I have travelled all over this earth and found little things in all those countries that were special to me, but in NYC, I can find all those little things right here in one city. No matter what my desire is each day, I will find it catered for here. I think this is one American city that caters for all people of all interests. Hope you decide to visit! Love, Flora

... NYC is large but it is not overwhelming. Let me whittle it down for you. There are 5 boroughs. You will be visiting only one - Manhattan - now it way smaller. Manhattan, like any other place, is a collection of neighborhoods. Do some research. Ask people who have been here what their favorite neighborhoods, spots, clubs, restaurants, whatever, etc are. You will get glowing personal reviews of disparate places, all small in their own right. You will not get scammed here. That is a personal anxiety you carry. Banish it. You want to know where I was scammed... Florence... where a gypsy pretending to be pregnant and working with two small boys, presumably her sons, actually got her hand into my FRONT pocket where my wallet was and almost had it out before I caught onto the whole thing. After that experience I thought "Wow, how easy was that for them. Why haven't I been pickpocketed a thousand times on the subway here at home". But I haven't!!! So just come and if you really are coming I will even give you a few of my personal favorite NY spots.

As a fellow Brit, let me tell ya, there ain't nuttin' to worry about in the Big Apple. Lived here probably longer than you've been on the planet, and be advised: Whatever you want, with whoever you want it, New York is the place to find it. As Flora the Oirish lady said, check your worries at the door and come on over. It's really one helluva place. Cheers!

For TER related fun, you can certainly work out how to make some dates on your own. Or do you have questions? Some require a few days notice, some are OK with short notice and there are many incall places that are almost no-notice. If you mean OTHER NYC fun, then let's see ...

Gambling is illegal so if a tout or anybody invites you someplace for gambling it's probably an illegal club and you are definitely on your own, all alone. Never been to one. I'm just imagining scenes from movies that don't end well.

Strip clubs are all over Manhattan and you're safe on your own. There are many well known safe places with reputations (and a big cash stream) to protect by avoiding trouble but providing a good time. Some places offer table dances ($20 per song?) or lap dances in addition to the stage show. Some have no cover charge before 5 PM, cover charge after 5 PM. Closing time is 4 AM.  

Lots of DVD / magazine stores in Manhattan. Many have booths to preview movies ALONE.

Dining alone is all over from the push carts to the poshest places.

And the New York Public Library Main Branch is in the center of Manhattan at 5th x 42nd and you can hang out there alone, too.
