As per advice from the Newbie faq board, I decided to give this a try.

Go to your regional board or the TER database and start searching for providers whose face and body appeal to you.

Most providers are fine with newbies because they probably see that as an opportunity to develop a repeat client.  

As far as screening, just ask the provider what info she needs.

You'll improve your chances by joining a screening service like P411 or Date-Check.  Once on board, seek providers who are listed as "newbie friendly."  After seeing them, ask for an OK (there's a button to push).  Once you have a couple of OKs you can see anyone you want.

As a provider, I'd say P411 is definitely the best option. Datecheck is good, but P411 is much better!

Two reasons.  They have an 800 # you can call in case you want to modify the information they need to accept you.  They are flexible.  Also, they're in Canada so your data is secure with them.  Their search function is good, too.  One thing Date-Check has that I like is their Calender feature.  If you select a bunch of women you're interested in, the Calendar will show you if they're in the geographical area where you want to play.

P411 I find to be very user friendly and very easy to directly PM another. Datecheck is ok, but p411 is definitely a safer bet.
