unfortunately I can't help you on that.  However, I will be going soon
and have already prepaid my hotel. Yes it was expensive but could have
been worse...I am sure. I purposely booked it ahead of time as I was
afraid it would have gone up.

It's like a catch 22 when you book. I got my hotel a month ago and just
for shits and giggles ran it again just now and it dropped $50.00 for my entire stay.
Not a great drop but it did..Oh well too bad.

I have heard summer is worse to travel too and appreciate this post.

yes rates are way up after March....you can get incredible deals in the winter, but then as you alluded to room rates go way up...

depending on the time you want to visit, some hotels offer special rates, especially if you book through a website like Booking.com....you can book a specific hotel through the site....i've booked some very nice rooms at very reasonable rates through the site...

I have been visiting here for the past month and staying in hotels.
I use Kayak and it compares rates and finds the best one
I also use Priceline...if your not set on a certain hotel. you pick the star level and name your price and my offers are almost always accepted and I save at least $20-$60 dollars on a 5 star (gansevort,trump etc) hotel and up to $100 savings on 4 stars (Hilton,Marriott and the like)
